“Standard looking pub type restaurant with a good beer and drink menu. Food menu has the typical items (burgers, wings, salads, etc...).I had the boneless wings with the ale house sauce and my wife got crab cakes and onion rings. They both were much better than what you find at other places. Ale House sauce was just spicy enough and had great flavor. The crab cakes were the real deal and not crab with breading and filler.Service was good and very friendly.“

“Stopped in for the first time today at 10:30 am to grab some pastries for a friends birthday, and was greeted by a line out the door. The atmosphere inside was hectic but upbeat, and the staff was on point and hustling but all the while looking like they were having a great time as well. I've heard so many great things about this place over the years, and I can see why it's such a popular hangout for IC students and locals as well. Can't wait to go back and try one of their delicious looking breakfast sammies! Soooo refreshing to see a locally owned place really doing well. Hard work and great customer service obviously pays off!!“

“The ice cream is pretty good here! Got the Trick or Treat (vanilla and marshmallow base with candy inside). As someone who appreciates contrasting textures, I loved the soft, icy sweetness of the vanilla ice cream with the crunch of the MnM and sprinkles. Delicious! It's a little pricey, but a one-scoop is more than enough with a waffle cone for about $8. They don't really skimp on the ice cream, and offer samples. They're all-in for Halloween, with lots of decorations around the store, a pumpkin decorating crafting station, Halloween candy bags, and 30% for coming in with a costume. Would definitely recommend!“

Six Mile Creek Vineyard Wineries • $$
1551 Slaterville Rd, Ithaca

“We were in town for our daughter's move out and went to this wine tasting place. It was not a very large vineyard but still impressed us with the scenery and overall rustic charm. Once inside the restaurant we were greeted by the wine tasting assistant . She was very knowledgeable about the wines and was a great entertainer who kept us thoroughly engaged by providing minute details of the wines and on latest rumors around town. After wine tasting we got ourselves a wine bottle that we liked from our session and sat in the patio enjoying the views and the wine. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience for us.“

“Classic brewery ambiance and atmosphere. We went here because of the food truck, but I'm a dummy and didn't look at the truck hours. Unfortunately they are closed monday and tuesdays! That's okay, we got a pretzel to hold us over until we could go grab dinner somewhere else. I don't usually like beer but the sour I got was fruity and delicious. It was a Strawberry rhubarb I don't remember the name. Staff was friendly and welcoming.“

“Food is good (GET THE GRILLED SALMON!)! Ordered the grilled dates, grill salmon and cheeseburger (which comes with a generous amount of fries). Limited menu options means it's easy to choose what to eat and more likely that the food is good, which is exactly the case.Grilled dates comes in 3 pieces which is a bit awkward to share but it's good. Grilled salmon is perfection, crispy on the outside yet so tender on the inside, sauce goes really well with it. Cheese burger is simple but good, the bun is so soft, fries is just fries nothing special.Server is nice, keeps checking in and surprised that they would replace the cutlery after appetizer, but they did forget the knives so oh wells. Overall a very good experience and will definitely go back.“

“Love the ambience and the local owners but unfortunately the dining experience left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was very scattered brained and never placed our orders in front of the person who actually ordered it( there were only 3 of us). Food was okay. Spinach salad and sweet potato fries were excellent but the burger was dry and tasteless ( ordered medium and got well done), tomato and cucumber salad was drowned in dressing, short ribs (unlike any other short ribs) was like a big piece of dry roast and was very mediocre and garlic mashed potatoes were nothing special. I will give them another try but will not order any beef as they don't know how to prepare it.“

“This is an indoor cafe inside the Shops At Ithaca Mall. I have been here several times over the years. A wonderful, folksy place with a charming owner and hostess. Many kinds of coffee and teas to choose from. Egg sandwiches, bagels, pastries. All sorts of sandwiches, wraps, and soups. Daily specials. One can sit at tables, a counter, or even a nice comfy stuffed chair. The food is good, prices reasonable. However, I must issue one caveat. There is no restroom. If one must use one, a walk to the restrooms in the nearby Target store or Food Court will solve that problem. My advice, go beforehand. Other than that necessary tip, you will love the place.“

“I have been here twice now and both times have been nothing short of exceptional. The food is delicious! This recent time my boyfriend and I shared chicken wings as an appetizer. Very tender and crispy with great flavor, we loved their homemade blue cheese dressing. I got the blackened salmon with grits. I’m not a giant fan of grits, but these I would come back for again and again. My boyfriend had the impossible burger, which I had a bite of, and was delicious. Crazy to think it was meatless! The food was cooked extremely well. I loved their selection of non-alcoholic drinks. I had a citrus spritzer that was delicious and refreshing. The wait staff were all so nice and helpful for questions we had. The music that was on was not overwhelming and added to the wonderful chill atmosphere. I look forward to coming back in the summer to try their summer menu.“

It’s not too loud so you can enjoy talking beside the food.I tried the turkey breast sandwich and it was casual and fresh but not something really surprising. The portion size was medium if you are hungry don’t go for it. However, the red’s cocktail is also exciting to try out. 51$ for a sandwich, French fries, and 2 glass of cocktails. The staff care and pay attention to you if you want to call them.A good normal place that you can spend your casual time easily. “The food was tasty I will say that, but I went in and got a single sandwich which was $20 after tax and a couple dollar tip, which I think is just kind of expensive for a not sit down type of restaurant. Also maybe other people don’t have this problem but it was too dark in there, I had to go over by the window to find my wallet in my purse to pay, especially since there wasn’t any place to put my stuff down at the register. The staff was pretty friendly, gave me good recommendations after I asked about what to get.“
