Americo was an amazing server, Nick was amazing at the front of the house managing a huge influx of people and keeping everyone up to date. Food was fantastic and my son got a surprise birthday dessert. Highly recommend!

I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for many years as a server but this place has to be the worst restaurant I’ve ever worked for, starting with the disrespect from management. Carnegie Diner Cafe in Secaucus New Jersey. I stopped being scheduled for two weeks after I informed management that I had a family loss and was out of the country but would be back on the following day. I was not paid my full training hours for over a month, and two weeks ago when I went to get that check, I was told it was not ready. Management was completely disrespectful which led to me resigning at that moment. I recently came to pick up my last check that I was told would be ready today November 30th, 2023, and I was asked my management to sign a paper in which i had to handwrite my resignation. Upon writing that, I was also told to write that i was treated with respect and dignity which I disagreed and asked why I had to write that. Management told me they will not give me my paycheck if I don’t write it down. I was threatened that If i don’t write that statement I will not receive my payment. After asking numerous times, even with a witness present at that moment, management still refused and would not give me the check. Once I wrote what they had threatened me to write, I went to get my check and he snatched it out of my hand until he read that what he wanted me to say was correct. I’ve never disrespected them there should be no animosity towards me and this is the first time working for a restaurant where I was treated with disrespect. I don’t believe employees should be treated this way, not to mention the many times I’ve seen other staff members be disrespected and grabbed/touched. I really don’t see this restaurant being in business if this treatment is constantly allowed and keeps escalating to far worse.
