Rating: 5.0/5.0 Home. Happy Garden Palace reminds me of home where Fuzhounese is spoken and the food is delicious. After moving to the Seattle area for work, I am often homesick for the dishes here. As such, trips home entail gorging on 锅边 and large orders of 醉排骨 and 芋头糕 for the flights back. My co worker and I wanted Chinese for lunch. We generally order from a different restaurant but thought we would try one a little closer to the office. We ordered from the lunch menu chicken with garlic sauce. The chicken was undercooked the garlic sauce was extremely bland and they did not include egg rolls as the menu advertises. By the standards of Chinatown holes-in-the-wall, Happy Garden Palace's service is off-putting. But I've come to realize that part of that is managing our own expectations.
