I was very disappointed last week when I visited the Detroit restaurant. I’ve been a customer for about 10 years and love the food. I mistakenly walked in and sat myself since I saw many empty tables. Quite honestly, I’ve never noticed a sign saying that you have to wait to be seated. Especially when the restaurant was empty. After about 20 minutes, I realized that there was only one other group and the restaurant was empty but I was not being waited on. I went up to the register and asked if I had to order at the register. The young lady pointed to the sign and rudely asked if I read the sign. She went on to say that she did not serve my table since I did not wait to be seated. I have to say I was confused and upset at how rude she was to leave me sitting there for 20 minutes and then rudely points to the sign and asks me if I read the sign. I genuinely did not read the sign and believe from a customer service perspective she could have handled this differently. As a consistent customer who loves the food, I was hurt by this interaction. It really left me very disappointed.
