Came in on a whim but dang dude this was the best Italian sub I've had in Cleveland. I got the classic sub with everything on it. The meat is high quality, the bread is super fresh and tastes homemade, the pickled veggies I added to it were delicious. The chicken Parm was just as bangin and the pepperoni roll was the perfect size and it comes with marinara dipping sauce.
I saw the Italian sandwich on Insta featured in 'Best Sandwiches in Cleveland'. The list is no lie. I was so excited to find Tripi open around dinnertime so we popped in. The wedding soup was very good. We also shared a pepperoni roll and it was nice and stuffed. The crown jewel was the Italian sandwich. Peppers, muffulata, AND giardinera??! Yes please. Since the first time I had Tripi, shortly after they opened, it has become an absolute staple in my Near West restaurant rotation. Everything on the menu is solid. If you’re a fan of Italian subs, the Papa Tony is quite possibly the best one I’ve ever had. The combo of the meat quality, muffuletta and the fresh giardiniera (which is insane) is pallet-changing.
