Great deli experience! I've stopped at Katzinger's twice while on the road to Cincinatti and it never dissappoints. The classic Rueben is great, with the ratio of meat to toppings spot on. The rugalach are also tasty. Service is friendly and the decor is fun and cozy. Glad to see a classic deli spot still around!
Parking sucks, but, it's worth it. Not my favorite deli in Ohio, but, the best I believe in Columbus! Kinda Yuppie-ish, pricey, clickish at the north edge of German Village. They make some mean sandwiches with clever names. They couldn't get a local bread that duplicated the New York Deli ambience so they've been flying it in fresh from Pittsburgh for 40 years. 2 barrels of "help yourself " pickles that are crisp and tasty grace the intimate dining area. I visit Ohio twice a year and coming to Katzingers' for a leisurely lunch with my successful entrepreneur daughter is a must! I love their garlic pickles in the barrel. They make the best Reuben on rye. Her younger sister sometimes comes along and she enjoys a vegetarian mushroom cheese melt. Something for everyone at Katz's.
