“Wow! This place is incredible. I ordered takeout and every dish we ordered was perfect. I would be surprised to find a better Chinese restaurant in Columbus. While everything we ordered was delicious, the Fish Filet w Pickled Soup was the best! I highly recommend this place for incredibly delicious Chinese food.“

“First visit. The food was overall good. My partner had ramen with pork belly, which she liked, while I had ramen with pork tenderloin which in my opinion tasted a bit old. The service was great, with an employee helping us get seated quickly as soon as a table was vacated. The interior was nicely decorated with the exception of the bar area, which had a plastic sheet between the diners and the kitchen, probably for sanitary reasons. The valve is good as we ate for under $40 pre-tip. Google Map users note: navigation would have taken us to an alley to the right of the restaurant. The location is to the left of the popcorn store in the front.“

“This is in right on campus so prepare to park and walk. Also if you go during prime times like during breaks between classes it will be packed, we made that mistake. The inside is definitely worn and dated. The food took a minute but they were very busy. When we arrived the seating was full. Luckily by the time our food was done a seat had opened up. We got fried dumplings (8.5/10) the filling was very good but no sauce, steamed pork bun (8/10) they were huge almost as big as my head, pork belly noodles (9.2/10) and spicy beef noodle soup (7/10) the pork was a bit tougher than I wanted for this dish. I'm unsure the difference between the noodle and the soup dishes because they appeared to have same veggies and broth. The service was super sweet, fast and helpful! The food was delicious and I would love to try more of their very extensive meals.“

“The food is extremely good but we went on a Thursday late afternoon and it was a 30 min wait for us to get our food. We didn't mind too much since it was also busy but if you're looking for "fast" food, maybe go earlier in the day. If you're from California the beef onion bowl is the closest thing to the beef bowl from yoshinoya so not only was the food good it was also nostalgic for me.“

“The Pho-Ritto is Phan-Tastic! ?Absolutely delicious!I veered a bit on the ‘plain’ side simply because that’s just how I prefer to eat. Ordered the chicken w/ rice noodles. It also came stuffed with crispy onions. The chicken was tender and juicy & I was given a very generous portion. The onions added that complimentary bit of crunch that made the meal all that more enjoyable. I also had a side of sriracha mayo dipping sauce. YUM!All the flavors came together exquisitely! There are some many choices and combinations to make that perfect burrito for YOU!Oh, and the egg rolls!!, are to die for! The best I’ve ever had!! #MamaLindaMakesTheBestEggrolls“

“We love Kirin. The food is delicious every time. The Karaage Ramen is AMAZING seriously fried chicken in a soup?? What could be better?? Also the service...it's so rare these days to go somewhere with young staff members who actually care about their job. We always appreciate how hard they work.“

“I go to many Chinese restaurants looking for something that isn't American-Chinese masquerading as authentic gourmet Chinese. This place is about as close as you're going to get in Columbus for real Asian food. It probably helps they are conveniently located next to the best Asian supermarket in the city.I have went a few times, and enjoyed every visit. I tried the duck bone stirfry, which was awesome. They have these dumplings in chilli oil that are just killer. Order it just for the oil and add it to your rice. Pour it on your eggroll, or whatever. It's that damn good. I think it's a homemade szechuan peppercorn oil. They have many Thai dishes as well. I got their Thai Red Curry. It's way better than Hunan Lions Curry, but honestly just average. I make my own Thai curry from scratch though. I do give them props for at least using shrimp paste, and having some flavor.Their chicken egg rolls and ragoons are also good.So much crazy stuff on the menu for adventurous eaters. Want a Duck Blood or Frog based dish? They have many. Lots of tripe dishes, and other odd stirfry's. I will be trying those soon and editing this review.Overall, the food is pretty good if you order right, and if you don't order right, it's still OK.As far as service, it's an Asian restaurant. Completely different culture. Come here for the food, not the service. Be happy a restaurant exists in Columbus that isn't Human Lion or Lucky Dragon.I have added Xin Wei to my rotation. Out of probably over 100 restaurants in the city, this is one of a out 5 that I have given this honor.Come here for real Asian food, and you will be happy. Come here for the Karen American-Chinese specials, and miss out on what this place has to offer.“

“Ordered food to go. Chicken & broccoli was really good. Husband had the house lo mein, said it was very good as well. We shared a crab rangoon appetizer. They were delicious. Freshness & crispness in each bite. Filling was creamy & smooth.Nice, polite young lady waited on us. Talked about setting up for a super bowl party coming in tonight.Inside is relaxing, clean & not overly decorated. Will go back to dine in.“

“We enjoyed everything we ordered! We'd never been before, so they were kind enough to explain how everything worked - service was very nice and the vibes inside were awesome. Very cute place. For apps, we got the pork belly buns and salt-and-pepper chicken. Both were excellent. For the soup itself, we got the mala rice noodle with beef, and the house special. I found the mala to be VERY spicy, but I have a somewhat low spice tolerance. (Also keep in mind, my husband is half-Japanese, and a lot of times Asian places tend to make things spicier for Asian folks.) Sure enough, my husband enjoyed this a lot. Not too spicy for him at all. The house special was sliiiiightly bland, but a few scoops of complimentary house hot oil perked it right up and gave it a nice flavor.A few reviews here say the soup cools down fast, but we didn't find that to be the case at all. It was HOT and stayed hot even after the ingredients were added!I would return happily!“

“I was thrilled to hear this Asian restaurant was still open. It is under new ownership and the food is just as good! The portions were very generous and the staff was friendly. The owner was very helpful and appreciative of our business. The strip of businesses is all that remains from City Center Mall. Very glad this restaurant is still open. I'll be back!“

“Been to the one on 5th ave 5 times and Saturday was the only time the food wasn’t top notch. Only complaint the noodles for the Japan fried noodles had pieces clumped/stuck together. Other than that service and employees were great. Keep up the good work 5th Ave. “

“A very clean and beautiful restaurant, quiet and welcoming atmosphere. Was greeted immediately and seated at a table, the man who was working there was super friendly and showed me the menu, gave recommendations and I ended up ordering the "dapanji stirred noodles(w/ bone in chicken thigh)" medium spice for $15.95 + $1.20 tax, portion was large and price is affordable and fair. It was delicious. I didn't get a picture because I started eating it as soon as it hit the table and it surprised me even. The food was well balanced and the potato was a nice touch to the dish which I enjoyed a lot. Was a little heavy on the sauce but very tasty none the less. The chicken was on the bone but was soft and didnt take much effort to get it off, was nice and tender. Took the rest I couldnt eat Togo and they even have reusable to go containers which was pretty cool, you won't have to worry about any broth spilling out on the car ride home.Definitely will be coming back and bringing my friends with me.“
