Service was good, the place was nice, and the drinks were delicious...but the rice was a little on the crunchy side and overall the flavors couldve been bumped up. The enchiladas were better than the other spot nearby, but I'm still looking for some Mexican food that stacks up to back home in California.
Plaza Mexican Grill isn't outstanding food or drink wise, BUT their daily specials are honestly a great deal. For $6 jumbo margs and $2 tacos, my partner and I came here for our weekly date almost every week this past summer. The al pastor and carnitas are our fav tacos, although the carnitas is sometimes a bit dry. The only one I recommend steering clear of is the shredded chicken, because it is VERY dry and flavorless. Best chips and salsa I have had in a long time. Chicken taquitos were great, but the cheese quesadilla was amazing. I don't know what cheese you used for it, but please don't ever change it!! Something so simple...perfected!
