“My family and I were there for the soler eclipse, weekend. We walked in sat down at the bar, everyone was extremely friendly, kind, nice, polite, warm and welcoming. We had just come from another bar around the corner called SPEAK OF THE DEVIL they were rude unwelcoming talked about us eclipse people like really what are they doing here. Never went back there again. Back to Brass & Bronze we had the tacos the 1st night amazing. We went back the second night the kitchen had just closed so we had a drink then one of the owners came over and said I know how to make pizza I can make you pizza. So that is what we had for our 2nd night s dinner. We went back the next day for the eclipse for lunch about 1 again amazing. We meet the President of the city Council Joel Arredondo and his wife they sat outside with us and watched the eclipse. Again very welcoming, they had their daughter’s wedding at this restaurant. I recommend this place extremely high. We had the best weekend in a long time”

“We went with my brother-in-law as he lives near by and he had never had Vietnamese before. My spouse got the stirfried noodles with pork, and my BIL and I each got a bowl of Pho. Everything was fantastic, with a stand out being the bahn-mi we split at the table and the spring rolls!Parking: Parking is right outside the door of the restaurant and easy to get to and from.”

“I don't get out to this area often but as one of the last Quiznos left in Ohio, it's always a must stop when I do get out there. The chicken carbonara is still as amazing today as it was when I had a Quiznos close to home. Wish I lived closer as I'd be here several times a week if it wasn't an hour drive one way.”

( change gloves ) food is good just watch what u touch with gloves on there is a purpose and reason for wearing them. I see them outside with them on then go back inside.”

“I like the fact that it's on the east side of Lorain. Right on the way to or back from Rock On The River every Friday night and sometimes Saturday night. Right down the street from the pier and just on the other side of the Bascule Bridge and downtown Broadway. Great location and a wide variety of sub sandwiches and or you can build your own Submarine sandwiches with toppings of your choice.”

“Huge place, more of a hall. We only go for the fish fry during Lent, and it's always packed. Bar service was a bit slow, but with the crowd, I guess it's a to be expected. They serve a large number of people, but do a good job getting everyone seated and served. and the fish is always really, really good.”

“Hole-in-the-wall deli and grocery. Very unassuming, maybe even borderline sketchy in appearance. Which is exactly why I first went there. Those are the places that are more often than not, the hidden gems of an area. Not interested in fancy curb appeal or gimmicks, just know how to throw down some food that will satisfy. They have quite an extensive menu, offer generous portions, and it's always DELICIOUS! From the corned beef and pastrami, to the Jamaican beef patties, I have enjoyed every item I have ordered. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.”

“I am not from Lorain, but often in the area. I have heard about this place from a few people over the years. I am a gyros and more advocate so I never tried nothing else when I’m here. I had a surgery today so I was feeling spontaneous. I hate that a waited so long before trying this place out. The walk up will capture you alone the smell fills the air. The food was beyond amazing and the portions are great. Needless to say I’ll be taking a big break from gyros and more lol.”

“My husband has lived in Lorain for 25 years and has never had Pine Garden, today we rectified that. We ordered some of our usual favorites from others and it was love at first bite with their General Chicken, sweet and sour chicken, fried dumplings, fried rice, wanton soup, boneless ribs, and teriyaki chicken. We will be returning customers per my husband. My man loves to eat and I don’t deny that we will be ordering again! Thanks for great food and service!”

“I couldn't check in last night, which was okay in my book. Then, I realized I couldn't keep this place a secret any more. I have been here more times than I can count. I've seen it empty with just a few people at the bar and jam packed, standing room only. Either way, I'll always like it and always go back! Mangine's isn't fancy, but it's homey and I feel comfortable going there for a beer. About the fanciest they get with beer is Angry Orchard, which I don't drink; but if you want to go somewhere to enjoy conversation and a couple of beers; this is your place. It has a lot of history and you can feel it once you're inside because of the black and white photos you'll see behind behind the bar. There's a pool table and a great juke box. Patrons and bartenders are friendly yet keep to themselves and if there is more than three people there, the 4th person knows someone else. I like that! PS: No website that i know of , but they are on Facebook! Divey, but clean.”

“Finally, after moving back to Lorain County last year from Southern California, we have found an authentic, go to, Mexican restaurant right here in downtown Lorain. My group had enchiladas, chimichangas, steak tacos, and beef burrito, all very good. The refried beans were perfect and maybe some of the best Spanish rice I have had anywhere! They also offer beer, wine, and liquor, so Dos Equis and Margaritas for the table. I got to meet the owner, Victor, and let him know how much we enjoyed our meals. We will be back soon!”
