The owners are also very sweet and courteous, answering our questions and offering for us to sample things we were unsure of.“

“My family and I LOVE Maki. Their food is always fresh, and delicious. I haven't found my favorite dish YET. Too many to choose from. I love their Beef Pho, and Yakisoba. My husband enjoys ALL of their specialty sushi. Their waitresses are always kind, and attentive. My husband is always thirsty, and never has an empty cup. The main man...sushi preparer is amazing! Always delivers a beautiful dish! Out of all the restaurants we frequent in Lake County....Maki is always consistent with their food quality and service.“

“This is our new favorite restaurant!! Tomi is in the old Hibachi space and the restaurant has been updated and clearly cleaned. The manager, servers and chefs are personable and professional. The food is delicious and you get a lot for your money in my opinion, especially right now with inflation the way it is. We always order the hibachi dinners and have never been even remotely disappointed and have never left hungry. I cannot comment on the sushi as I am not a fan of any sushi. Give it a try, you won't regret it!“

Generous portions. Choice of noodles or fried rice (not a usual Japanese restaurant choice). All food made well and tasty. Hot sake. Some Chinese art in mostly Japanese decor. I lived in Asia for 3 years. I see the difference. Close to our home, we will return! Enough food we brought home some shrimp, fried rice, chicken & noodles. Next morning cut up the shrimp, scrambled a couple of eggs & chopped zucchini, then added the shrimp, and rice and enjoyed a lovely shrimp fried rice breakfast adding the hibachi sauce.Parking: Lots and lots of parking in giant lot.“
