“Our brunch at Root to Rise was a true delight. We were passing through the area after a stay on Kelleys Island and are so glad we stopped! We had the Golden Mind Protein Milk, so perfectly spiced and smooth and made fresh. We also tried the Farmer Fellini’s Panini, Forager Panini and Mimi’s Panini. The sandwiches were freshly made on the most delicious seedy multigrain bread that melted in our mouths. Each sandwich was perfectly balanced with flavor and texture. SO GOOD! We also tried the Chai Latte and Lavender London Fog Latte. We appreciated these hot teas were not overly sweet, we could actually taste the spice and delicate lavender. The friendly service and positive affirmations posted in this cozy cafe also added joy to our day. Our family of three felt the food was worth the price and we can’t wait to return!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian paradise but so tasty the two non-vegetarians in my family were also raving about their food!“

“This bistro is a nonprofit restaurant staffed by friendly volunteers. If you think this means the quality isn’t top notch, you’d be wrong. I had the Cobb salad with homemade ranch dressing, which was very good. My sister had the quiche and said it was the best she’d ever had. We shared a bread pudding dessert that was quite yummy. The bistro is a refreshing alternative to bar food which is available at numerous other locations. If you’re visiting Port Clinton, you must give Bistro 163 a try.“

“Don't let the name fool you! It's a lovely place with fabulous food - not at all your typical bar food plus a friendly staff! You'll be surprised at the offerings, from pasta, to seafood to steaks and more. Plus the wine list is reasonable and comprehensive. Once inside you are surrounded by deeply stained oak and a long bar. It seems like everyone is your friend even before you sit down. The mussels were garlicky and fresh. I had the Pecan Crusted Walleye- locally caught , yum. My hubby had the Pearch, delish. For dessert- can't go wrong with the carrot cake.“

“Was recommended this place by our taxi driver and he was right. The food was good. The people were chill. Our waitress Kayla was great, even with an overflow of people. The food was good, especially the fries. If I could by a bottle of the seasoning I would.
