“we had the most lovely lunch outside thanks to little india! everyone is so friendly and helpful there too.“
“Do you like tamales? Do you have $5? Do you love yourself? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you need to report to Elote Veloz immediately. It's an unassuming little food cart parked in a gravel parking lot. I was riding my bike by and on a whim, decided to stop for a tamale. When I learned they were only $2, I ordered one of the pork and one of the chicken. Y'all I was absolutely blown away. These taste exactly like the handmade tamales of my childhood for which there is no recipe. They are ephemeral and perfect and defy culinary logic with their simple perfection. Two makes a satisfying meal but three would have been better. They also sell esquites and champurrado that I will try next time I'm there. Make a pilgrimage or stop by next time you're in northeast Salem. You won't be disappointed!“
“This is a really good cart. Owner/chef was very nice and answered questions about the menu/daily specials. Had the chicken plate, which was excellent. Chicken was mouth watering good, cornbread was filling, and the beans/greens/mac complemented well. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting this cart pod.“

“I love the variety of food for most diets. I spent my birthday their last March and everyone in my party had a great time! And if you do the large order of wings at Chubby Bao House, make sure you bring your appetite or a friend, seriously huge portions!“
