“Such a fun, welcoming little bar! The food is absolutely delicious, the cocktails are lovingly crafted, and the HUGE game selection makes this place the best hidden gem on Main Street. Head up the stairs next to Versus and check it out for yourself!“

“Delicious food and really good tater tots.Hostess was really kind. I'm vegetarian and wasn't paying attention when I ordered and accidentally got a beef burger. Even though it was entirely my fault, when the hostess found out, she insisted on taking the burger back and getting me an impossible burger. I felt bad for letting her do that, but I really appreciate it and I will definitely be back with friends!Vegetarian options: Impossible burger is offered for $3 extra on any burger.Parking: Normal parking lot in the back facing away from the road, but there's extra parking in the garage to the left when you get off the main road. Plenty of parking.“

“Wu-Rons is the new best place for ramen in Portland. I almost don’t want to tell people because it was so easy and fast to get a bowl of their Nagahama Tonkotsu ramen. The menu is simple and authentic. The old Noraneko space it resides in has been simplified as well, making the space easier to be in while maintaining its dignity as a spot to get a solid bowl of ramen. It is cliche for someone like me, a 30 year old nerd, to say “I’ve had a lot of ramen” but it’s true. Across Japan and throughout Portland. Ramen restaurants stateside often struggle to present the real experience of one of Japan’s key foods. It doesn’t need to be elevated or exotic or chic to be special. Solid broth. Solid noodles. Solid chashu. Assembled cleanly. Something a truck driver traveling through Fukuoka could get on a rainy day. That’s Wu-Rons and I can’t wait to go back.“

“My partner and I come here every now and again, the server Tia is always so friendly and patient with us while figuring out our drinks and the comedy shows on Thursday nights are hands down the best and most well curated “underground” comedy in Portland. 10/10 would recommend if looking for a great taproom.“

“Best taphouse in the Corvallis/Albany area. There are always new beer selections and there are at least a few beers of each type (i.e. IPA, stout, lager, etc.). The staff is friendly and helpful. The new outdoor area is also well done and super cozy. 100% recommend stopping by for a drink. You can also bring in or order outside food.“

“We four stopped for a beer; two are regular customers. Was first time for me.BEER: 4.0. We each had a different type, and were all happy with our choices.SERVICE: 4.0. Prompt and professional, with nary a hint of a smile. We appreciated the opportunity provided to taste before choosing.AMBIANCE: 4.0. Converted house, with seating inside and out; some of the outside seating is covered. We started at uncovered picnic table outside, moving inside when it began to sprinkle. Outside was fine; inside was warm and homey.“
“John's Marketplace is my favourite place to go. Awesome beer selection, good food, and owned by some awesome people. I also appreciate that the Hall Blvd location has a dog friendly patio.“
“Great selection on tap not to mention great service by the one and only Brook of all trades! Love the decor and mellow atmosphere. Highly recommend!“
“Showed up late in the evening again, barely making last call. It was empty but had a good conversation with the only other customer and staff. Only had the Japanese lager in keeping with my final last days in Portland, no more hopps for awhile. They also had an MKIII in the corner I didn't get a chance to feed. Worth a trip if in the area“

“This is a nice and cozy place to have beer with friends and watch sports. It is not a huge place but has a fantastic selection of beers. One other thing to note is the restroom is very clean and spacious. This is one of my local bars where I go often with friends to have a good time. I also love the comfy armchairs beside the window. Staff is also friendly. Couldn't ask for more!“
“Very relaxed, chill vibes here. Bring your own food!!! They do not have a kitchen or menu. Just drinks on tap and in cans/bottles. Had awesome service, the bartender let us have a tiny sample to taste things before we ordered drinks.Per friendly. ?Check-in on the Tualatin Valley: The Ale Passport app while you are there.“

“Drove by today and decided to do something different for our usual take out and movie Fridays. I am SO glad we did. The menu had so many things that sounded amazing, my husband and I spent 30 minutes trying to decide what to try first. We ended up ordering: MIANG KHAM PAD KHE MAO YUM NUA MEKHONG CUBA LIBRE EVERYTHING was authentic, fresh and flavorful and the staff even called me during their rush to ensure that we had all of our items. As someone who is a business in the industry, that was next level service.“

“This was one of the better meals my husband and I enjoyed while visiting Portland. The walls are covered in Mexican art. There are plenty of tables and a nice bar to sit at. The food was delicious but not gigantic portions. My husband ordered the street tacos from the happy hour menu. The chicken inside the tortilla was as delicious and seasoned perfectly. He also had tortilla chips and salsa which you had to pay for separately. I had the Carnitas plate with beans and a salad- Very tasty and the Carnitas were very moist. The staff wasn't overly friendly but the food made up for it! tried the Cadillac margarita it was a little weak. Feeling like Mexican? Definitely give this place a go.“

“I love their tenders in Buffalo and Jamaican jerk! Their deep fried Oreos are bomb too. We also love the fries. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because sometimes it's a bit inconsistent. No matter what though we'll keep coming back.“

“My son introduced me to this place, and now I’m hooked especially the Loaded Brisket fries. It’s a fabulous spot that gets pretty busy on weekends. If you’re up for tap beers, this is the place to be. It’s incredibly down-to-earth and perfect for hanging out with friends and family.” ? Shout out to Chase for his exceptional service, very friendly and authentic.“
“This is another gem in the McMenamins line of fun, historical establishments - and by far my favorite! Been here many times over the years - actually even had my very first lobster roll EVER here (as a special item years ago) and it was amazing. The vibe is so quirky - you definitely feel like you’re walking the halls of your old elementary school - except there are bars and a lively restaurant and even a brewery haha!! The staff has always been super welcoming and friendly. The food at their main Courtyard Restaurant has always been great. On my last visit (July 2023), I had their chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was SO GOOD!! Even their tater tots were perfectly cooked. And they even have some of the best iced tea I’ve had outside of the south! Their menu changes seasonally so it’s always a treat to try something new. After eating, leave time to explore - the grounds are just gorgeous and you’ll get lost in the nostalgia as you wander around the old school’s hallways. They have several bars - one is huge and has total steampunk vibes. They have a small hotel and a salt water pool - even the bathrooms are beautiful. I’d definitely like to stay here next time - but I imagine it can be a tad spooky at night haha! The school opened back in 1915 so it’s a historic building. The wall art is gorgeous and there are lots of info signs and historical pics scattered around. It’s in a good location in north Portland with plenty of parking and easy to find. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!“

“I planned a cocktail crawl for my fiancé's birthday, and this ended up on our list. I'm so glad we found it! It's LGBT+ friendly, and the manager and owner were some of the nicest people. The atmosphere was so cool, (consider hitting up Steeple Jack, Holy Ghost, and this bar for a fun crawl). The cocktails are top-notch, and I could tell a lot of thought and preparation went into their drink menu, as well as their food. We were fortunate enough to try samples of a few bites (the fried shrimp!) and a new drink the manager/bartender was considering adding to the menu. On top of that, we had great conversation with them, and I left feeling like I'd rediscovered a piece of Portland that has been hard to find the past few years. Please do yourself a favor and check them out for Sunday brunch, as it's a recent addition to their menu and hours. I'd love the brunch hours to stick around, so get your friends together, and maybe I'll see you there! Also, try the seasonal Tarot Card drink special (pictured).“
“I have been coming here for years. Recently I went to pick up cans and there was nothing fresh in the fridge. Only some that were canned back in September thought that was really weird. A lot of guest taps as well, not sure if they're uninspired or don't care enough to make more of their own beers. I was about to come in a buy $60 worth of cans to take home but there aren't any. Owner is really nice though so I'll try again later.“
“The trivia night event here was very fun and well-attended!“
