“I thought at first when I reviewed the menu that the food was overpriced. I thought at first when I reviewed the way the operation was being run from a customers perspective that the hole in the wall was a gamble. I was very surprised at the quality and portion of the food provided. Given that the portions are generous, and one dinner could easily feed two to three people, I saw that the price point was very good. The quality of the food was superb, and some of the best King Pao I have had in years. The ingredients were fresh and the peanuts were very fresh and crunchy. The dishes I bought were well executed. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed at this restaurant. If you’re looking for Chinese for the family that won’t disappoint, give them a chance!!! I’ll be back! Superb!“

“The food was alright, personally I'm not a fan of Chinese food but this Chinese food was edible, which is the best compliment I could give to a Chinese place. The workers were nice and the inside was relatively nice and clean. Overall was a decent experience, I'd eat it again and not “

“Dear readers and travelers, I would like to (re)introduce you to one of wilsonville's longstanding local businesses. Wong's has been here for decades and hopefully will stand for decades more. As inflation has hit the economy, it has hit their menus. And as time wore on, the foot traffic had slowed to a near stop through their doors. But, that's what I am not reviewing. What I am reviewing is their food. How even has price went up, quality did not drop, like it has for so many. The food tastes just as good as it did a decade ago when I moved into town. The hostess is just as welcoming, if not older. But she remembers me and now my husband and kids, just as she did the day I gave a most ridiculous food order when i was trying to get to my college classes on time. I urge you to give Wongs some time of your day. They have a buffet M-F, $14.95/person. I sincerely wish this business the best.“

“This place is great no it’s not your average Asian cuisine. It all taste the same nope this place has a unique flavor to its dishes. I had the beef yakisoba it was a very delicious meal. the next morning I decided to reheat my leftovers and it tasted just As good. It didn’t have that weird day old smell that most places usually have. Footnote the only reason there was leftovers because I don’t ever eat as much, but it was good. I was able to reheat it. It tasted perfectly fine or better. If I were to say one bad thing about this place, it’s just their parking.“

“Very good service. Maybe even better food. The portions are maybe a little on the smaller side, but it's relative to the lower pricing and the better quality more than makes up for it.There are a few good Chinese restaurants in the area, but this one wins overall when considering everything.“

“This is solid, Chinese-American food. And the quality is good. You can literally watch through the big window as the chefs prepare your food. I highly recommend the dumplings in hot oil appetizer. The meat here is real. The chicken especially is not that spongey reformed stuff so many restaurants use. Everything is made fresh: it has to be... that big window. They have a full bar service which is good too. The service is great. The waitstaff know how to serve graciously and are always pleasant. And the dining room is pleasant enough with music playing at an appropriate level. This place has several large tables and can accommodate larger groups (though call ahead for reservations for a large group). This place is family-appropriate, though they don't have a specific child's menu. Wu's is located in a strip mall anchored by Safeway right on 99W and there's a traffic light so you can get in from either direction and leave in either direction too. There's plenty of parking. I have, in the past, been joined here by a wheelchair using friend, and we had no trouble at all. The facility presented no serious barriers and the staff were most accommodating. Chinese-American cuisine seems very vegetarian-friendly, but -- while I don't know the specific practices of this restaurant -- I always caution to ask as Oriental cooks often add meat-stocks or fats to seemingly-vegetable-only dishes. Pork or chicken fat do, afterall, and a touch of deliciousness to vegetables. So, if this is important to you, ask. Wu's Open Kitchen is the best Chinese-American restaurant in the Tigard/Sherwood/Newberg area. The food is good and service is always gracious. I recommend it.“

“I have eaten here for years. Great reasonably priced food. The food is like old school Chinese Food. The egg fu Yung is made with the vegetables and meat incorporated into the patties. They are light and flavorful. The sweet and sour chicken is perfect. They only do takeout.“

“This was our first visit and they did not disappoint. We split a number six and it was more than enough for both of us with a side order of bbq pork. Andy and Emily behind the bar are stellar and make a mean gin and tonic.“
