“Dinner, Saturday night. Begin with saying I think this is an excellent, authentic, under the radar classic Italian restaurant with a menu of the standard, classic dishes one would want without any unfamiliar or experimental flourishes. I had pasta puttanesca and honestly feel it's the best puttanesca I've ever had -- large caper berries, anchovies you couldn't see but definitely taste, rich tomato sauce -- really good. Wife had the veal milanese and, again, cooked to perfection, not breaded too heavily, fresh arugula. Calamari appetizer not overbreaded, nor overfried, nice mildly spicy sauce. The bread they serve with the meal -- an important, often overlooked item -- was high quality with thick crust, served with quality olive oil and canellini beans. The one miss of the entire meal was an appetizer they're supposedly known for -- Artichokes Core de Roma. Unfortunately, we found this tasteless. Literally without taste. With that one exception, we found everything about this restaurant high quality and will return.”

“The pizza is phenomenal, easily the best Kosher Pizza in Philadelphia but I want to call out this restaurant's excellent service.We had placed an order for delivery to a new mother so that she would not have to worry about dinner. Right before the restaurant closed we were notified that the pizza had been delivered to the incorrect address. I called Slices and they were able to put together a new order immediately despite closing within just a few minutes.”

“My family and I 5 generations have enjoyed your food over the years. From my granny (who has now past) my mother, myself, my children, and now their children. The food is always fresh, tasty and having moved down south trips back up North include a 30 - 40 min drive from New Jersey. Love the family, when we come for food we often talk about our children as we are in the same age group and update on the new things. Visiting soon will be making a trip over.”

“Conveniently located in my office building. This was my first time post covid and I saw many changes. No help yourself salad bar any longer. No soda fountains to help yourself from either. Food is still as good! Got pizza and wasn't disappointed.”
