Gibraltar Restaurant 488 Royer Dr #101, Lancaster Seafood • $$$

“The whole dining experience was more than excellent; it was damn-near perfect! I'm not much of a raw fish person, but I tasted my wife's tuna tartare appetizer and loved it. My oysters Rockefeller appetizer was a delicately balanced, excellent preparation. For my main course I had the whole Branzino, expertly deboned for me at tableside, and it was marvelous. At that point we did not need dessert, but the list of available after dinner drinks was awesome! Kudos also to our server Casey, who helped to make the evening memorable.”

Genki sushi and grill 1565 Manheim Pike, Lancaster Sushi • $$

“We've been to Genki several times and it never fails to impress. Their sushi is always fresh and their portions are generous. The wait staff are polite, attentive and give you plenty of space to enjoy your meal. Every time we have eaten there, they have given us a free 3 piece tempura roll that was quite tasty, which just goes to show how much they appreciate their patrons. My wife loves the seaweed salad, and my personal favorites are the octopus and the white tuna. I could go on and on about all of the other amazing, high quality dishes that Genki offers, but you'll just have to stop in and try it for yourself. If you like good sushi, you'll love Genki!”

I had the steak frites which was tasty but very fatty and gristly for $38. I would have much preferred a filet but it was not on the menu. Service was excellent.”

Ninja Ramen 2046 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster Ramen • $$

“Fantastic meal here at Ninja Ramen! Servers were very kind, and service was super speedy (perhaps that’s why they’re Ninja Ramen!). Music and atmosphere were excellent! We ordered their Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, their Tan Tan Ramen, and their Spicy Chicken Ramen. All were well portioned and filling! Flavors were delicious, perfectly spiced, and hot.We also ordered a side of soup dumplings… nothing super special here, they were average!Overall though, food was delicious, service was wonderful, and the environment was great!!”

The Greenfield Restaurant & Bar 595 Greenfield Rd, Lancaster Fine Dining • $$$

“A true delight in the Lancaster area!! The Greenfield Restaurant accommodated our very large party for a business dinner a few months ago. No flaws, and exceptional service. A classy, homey restaurant. Drinks- great! My gauge is always if a place knows how to make my drink signature- a dirty martini with Bombay Sapphire. No vermouth here to be found, it sipped lovingly!!! And for food, after many apps, entrees and desserts with all of our 14, I don't think there was a plate left uncleared. We had the upper, private dinner area. Our server was exceptional- attentive, timed check-ins and orders well taken and delivered. Food was paced appropriately and brought all together - for that many people and when a configuration of stairs is involved for kitchen and bar this is no small feat. For the group, much of the menu was tackled. No complaints whatsoever. Probably the unsung hero of apps was the house smoked salmon dip. Entree favorites were the pork schnitzel and scallops. Homemade spaetzle made those with the pork so happy. Thin, crispy, a beautiful plate with accompaniments. The scallops - Who doesn't love a meal with inspiration? Scallops.....and beech mushrooms! Give Me More!!! Delicious, quirky and unexpected. THIS will be readapted as inspiration. And dessert, I hardly ever eat dessert. But when hearing they had a salted caramel ice cream. Yes and yes! Perfect, creamy ending. Through consistency in service and flavorfulness in food The Greenfield Restaurant should be a Lancaster staple and deserves filled seats for a long time to come!!!”

Passerine 114 N Prince St, Lancaster American

“I need to talk about this cafe I found on a Thursday morning. I was the first customer there, and the atmosphere was immediately inviting, bright, clean, and full of positive energy. The Lebanese-style falafel wrap was unlike anything I've had before. It tasted rich, almost like a blend of lamb or beef, but it was definitely falafel. The addition of pickled radishes and fresh vegetables was a brilliant choice. The pita bread was the perfect balance of soft and chewy, holding everything together. The owner added to the experience by offering me a complimentary espresso. It was strong and smooth, a great end to an amazing meal. This cafe isn't just about food; it's an entire experience. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the service all come together to create something special. If you haven't been there yet, you're truly missing out.”

Flavors are deep and rich and well worth spending the time to savor.”

“This may be the only authentic Sichuan cuisine in the Harrisburg metro area. Sichuan province is known for spicy cuisines. The numbing Sichuan peppercorn got its namesake there. There used to be another authentic Chinese restaurant (HE in Middletown) serving different regional cuisines; unfortunately, that one closed for good a few months ago.The dining area was spacious and clean. Plenty of table of various sizes. Ambiance was above average Chinese restaurants. Ample parking spaces on both sides of the building, as well as in the back. There was just 1 staff who waited the tables, took orders, and manned the cash register. He's friendly and quick. The menu book was big featuring many nice photos of their offerings. There was also a separately one-page menu listing specials for the current month. The prices were on the higher side compared to typical Chinese American restaurants, but for the 2 dishes we ordered, the size of serving was quite fair. We waited 15 minutes for the 2 dishes:1. Hot & Spicy Fish Filet w. Cumin (孜然香辣魚片) $18.95. A lot more fish filets than we expected. The filets were deep fried, crispy and with just enough heat to kick it up a notch. 5 out of 5.2. Chicken w. Dry Pepper (歌樂山辣子雞) $15.95. I really wanted to try this and compare to 重慶辣子雞 which is a well known chicken with dry pepper dish from Sichuan, whereas, I've NEVER heard of this particular spin (as distinguished via its Chinese name). I was sorely disappointed. The chicken pieces were cut too small and coated with way too much batter. It was really stodgy and got old really quick. 2 out of 5.So far hit or miss. But given its large menu, this place warrants another visit without question.”

The door isn't really obvious at first, but we were able to find it from the descriptions. The bar wasn't busy thankfully, and we were warmly greeted. We loved the unique drink menu, and the bar itself is sophisticated and classy. The bartenders are knowledgeable and even gave us dinner recommendations. “A truly fun night out! This is a small bar with around a dozen flavors of mead, along with some locally brewed beer options. You can get a flight of mead to try a few different ones, and then get a lane to throw axes. The instructor went over the basics in maybe 2 minutes and gave us tips when we weren't sticking the axes immediately, so very quickly we were nailing the target and having a great time. It's a very different kind of time to have, and it's a lot of fun- totally worth your time.I will mention as a small caveat - this is a bar, but their food and drink menu is very limited. For food they had a handful of snacks and for drinks it really was just the mead and beers. My advice would be to eat before going. Also, if you have that one friend that doesn't like trying new things - leave them home.”

“We have visited this location countless times over the years. This trip was shortly before they closed for the night. The fries were incredibly soggy. We tried to buy an 8-oz container of one of their sauces, but they were sold out. The girl working the drive-through line said it wasn't an issue. She said she would put extra sauce packets on the order. She did - the receipt said 30... we received 6. That was disappointing. The people were very friendly, and despite the line, we were in and out pretty quickly.”

“It was our first time there and we thought the food was excellent and the service was great. We really enjoyed the cholados. The reason I only gave 4 stars is I feel like it’s very overpriced and there was no menus. So we didn’t know the price of things until after our meal. For a family of three to eat breakfast we end up paying around 70 with taxes. Had I known I was going to break the bank I would of chosen a different location to eat. Other than that I can’t say enough good about the food, we enjoyed it and still recommend.”

“I never would've thought to give a 4/5 star review to a McDonalds in my life.. until I went here.Realistically, the food is what you expect and anticipate at a McDonalds - fast and cheap. However, I can recall that most times I visit this location, my order is usually correct and the food is typically warm/hot - which is a nice added touch.I don't want to spend too much time discussing the ins and outs of a McDonalds chain however, the main reason for this review is the wonderful service you get at the drive-thru.The lady (I wish I got her name) who took my order, typically the one that is taking your money at the first window, is such a delight. She is beyond sweet and is super nice to have a quick conversation with. I don't go there often but she seems to have plenty of experience and always wishes you to have a great day.At the second window, there is a gentleman I had that was equally as nice and kind. Even though I would've never thought to leave a review here, I highly suggest this location if you are in the area looking for a McDonalds. (Just beware of pulling out to Manheim Pike and needing to turn left).”

“We were in town for a Rugby tournament and have been a long time fan of their beer so we took advantage of how close our hotel was to check out their taphouse/restaurant.The building has a presence but is extremely inviting but parking was a challenge. Ultimately we ended up with a spot in their lot but it took some time/patience.That minor nit aside, upon entering the restaurant we were warmly and quickly greeted. It was a Friday night during the NCAA tournament so it was predicably busy so it took a moment to get seated. We may have waited a few minutes at most before we were taken to a table. The ambiance/atmosphere definitely leans into it's Lancaster heritage ... warm, comfortable, and rustic. But that's an aside. After being seated we were greeted by our server almost immediately. He brought us water and showed us the specials. From that point forward our dinner just flowed. Orders taken, our appetizer served (corn dog fried shrimp) amazingly fast followed very quickly by our burgers, my wife got the LBC Cheeseburger with mushrooms and Swiss and I got the LBC and subbed out the meat for a black bean burger and added a cup of white chili).I can't overstate how fresh, fast and flavorful everything was. Overall, between the food and the beer it was outstanding.”

I got the seco verde, my wife got the pollo a la parilla, and my mom got the fried fish with rice. Everything was delicious and the server was very nice and helpful. It would be great if they had more vegetarian main options on the menu, although it seems like you can ask for vegetarian adaptations off-menu.”

“I highly recommend this place as a potential event space. I booked the upstairs room for my wedding’s after-party. I was offered a few different booking options and all were extremely reasonable compared to some other event places in Lancaster city. Even though it’s not along the main row of bars on King Street, it’s a quick walk from the Mariott. Kayley, the manager, was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. She was very responsive and answered all my questions. I also worked with Tony who knocked it out of the park. He provided a cooler full of beers and pizza for my guests for a very reasonable cost. It was really nice to have a bar in the upstairs area close to the back event room. So many of the guests talked about the after-party and how much they enjoyed the dance floor. I highly recommend reaching out to QSB for a future event.”

“Always a great place to grab a bite to eat and maybe a cocktail or beer. Service is great and attentive. Crab cakes are so good, no filler and a touch of mustard, just the way grandmom made them in Maryland. The rest of the menu has big hit, including the salmon, burgers, crab dip and wings. Plenty of seating, not loud and lighting is just right.”

“We came here over the weekend to enjoy cocktails and good food. Our server Alandra was wonderful. She had excellent recommendations and vert courteous manners. The espresso martini she suggested was the best I've ever had. We were very impressed, it was smooth with a very complex flavor profile. We ordered deviled eggs, the pepper bisque, scallops and burger. All of our food was exquisite, seasoned and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is the restaurant was cozy yet very modern, we enjoyed the renovations very much. We had a wonderful experience, I'd definitely go back and request Alandra again!Parking: Urban parking, many paid garages and street parking.”

He put a smile on my face with his friendliness. It was only a brief interaction, but he brightened my night. The service was excellent, and the cookies as always, were delicious. “We came here for our honeymoon! After traveling from Philly, we stopped in Lancaster and asked a local what food they recommend. This was their first pick and they did not disappoint! It looks small, but there is a lot of space inside! It was packed but still had loads of seats to choose from so we could sit around people or find somewhere secluded. There were so many families, it warmed my heart. Our server, Jordan, had great energy, was fast with refills and had so many great recommendations. Our food was hot, fresh, and legitimately the best food we have had in the entire honeymoon. I had the French onion panini and my husband had the crab cakes, and we split some onion rings with spicy crab soup. It blew us away, and they were just the sweetest group ever! If I settled here I know I would end up being one of those couples there every Saturday night because it is worth it!”

“This was a FANTASTIC experience. If you're a little boujee and like food, you'll love this spot. It's classy and beautiful and yummy! We couldn't stay to eat but we'll be back. The enjoyment of the store details is real. The French Apple Cake was picked by our son, and he wasn't a fan because he's got the palate of a cardboard box (his loss). It has a beautiful taste with rum (?) Or maybe bourbon notes, so that's why he didn't like it. Hubby did NOT mind having to finish that delight off ?? The kiddo loved his macarons despite the new textures (weird, huh), so there's some hope left for him. The sausage gravy meal was delish per hubby.Shout out to Chef Nate, who went above and BEYOND with his food and service. That southwest bowl (sans cheese) was AMAZING, and since I don't get to eat out often due to food restrictions, I thank you from the tips of my toes to the bottom of my heart!10 out of 10, highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Semi generous vegetarian options. “Funny ish story but my friend wanted to meet me for breakfast at ihop on Saturday so I drove out from West Chester. Unfortunately, I had thought the restaurant she was referring to was a different one on business 30 closer to my house, and went on a bit of an expedition to find this place. I wound up being over an hour off course but my friend waited for me the whole time and her waitress let her stay at the table until I got there and we caught up. I had no idea ihop had lunch options, but by the time we got together I was more ready for a burger than pancakes. Maybe it was just the long trip in combination with my hunger, but it was seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had and definitely an experience I'll never forget.”

This was very helpful due to my friend be ing lactose intolerant. We also did orders of samosa and the chili momo and I wish I was joking when I say these were also amazing. This was probably one of the best experience in a restaurant. I wanted to try different things and I asked for suggestions and they were accurate with everything being amazing!!! “My wife and I stopped by on Friday evening. The house made 10" rolls are legit and made the sandwiches. I had the Johnny Boy and the meats were high quality and the truffle oil complimented the sandwich. Only minor (very minor) issue was that the thick cut mozzarella at times overpowered the meat. But only a minor issue. My wife had the Caprese sandwich and enjoyed it thoroughly. We will be back as the menu looks amazing and I need two work my way through a few other selections.”
