“I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“

“Quaint full-service restaurant with Ethiopian food. About half the food is Ethiopian, and the other half is (American) sandwiches and soup. I got the sega alecha (beef stew). Came with injera bread (a sour, spongy flat bread made from teff). Definitely different from the usual fare.“

“I went with my friends to the Mango Mango Dessert store and tried their drinks. I got the strawberry which was pretty good but the price is too much. The service was amazing, the employee was really nice and we got our order within a few minutes. Don’t forget forget the atmosphere, it’s clean and aesthetic.“

“Went there during a convention 15 minutes before closing needing something gluten-free and vegetarian for my wife. They quickly helped me find everything on the menu she could eat, happily made it and she said it was the best falafel wrap she had. Will definitely be visiting them again when I am in the area“

I don't mind paying a little bit extra for quality, but things like charging an extra dollar for a small drizzle of peanut butter, or the equivalent of a third of a banana is just outrageous. The bowls already average about $14 or $15, Have a nice day So charging that much extra for a tiny bit of extra ingredient seems out of bounds.Otherwise, this is a fantastic place.
