“Josie's Ice Cream was a stop for the 6th Annual Search for the Best Scoop Shop RI with RI Food Fights. There is parking up front and additional parking on the side. There are homemade flavors. I had a scoop of the purple haze. Purple haze is black raspberry ice cream layered with oreo chunks and white chocolate chips. I really enjoyed how the ice cream had big pieces of oreo and white chocolate chips. Service was wonderful.“

My co workers and I always order from time to time and it’s always a good experience staff are nice and the few times I ordered if I see they had a cookie I wanted but the app said it was sold out they never said no to switch it and that always makes me happy . “The store is clean and well lit (bright). The cookies are large but a little expensive for what you get. They rotate the flavors on a regular basis, so if you find one you really enjoy you may not be able to get it anytime soon (or again?). There is no dining on site, it is carry-out only.Parking: As with this whole section of Patriot Place: you have to park in the general lot and make your way to the restaurant. If you park parallel to rt 1 you're on ground level. If you park in front of the movie theater you have to either take the escalator by the theater or the stairs or elevator in front of the Hall of Fame/museum.“

This is clearly a local favorite because when I arrived on a Monday evening there was a long line and many people enjoying the picnic table seating. I ended up getting a scoop of the Girl Scouts Thin Mint ice cream as part of the RI Food Fights Ice Cream month. I thought it was a generous single scoop and it was delicious. I was torn between a few other flavors, including one I had never seen before, PB&J caramel cookie dough. I may need to go back to try it. The seating area was really nice with picnic tables and string lights, and the people working at the counter were very friendly. There's also a large parking lot, which is very convenient.“

“Yesterday was one of the worst days for me. My family dog had suddenly passed away and it absolutely broke me. As I sobbed I made my way over to the purple cow to drown myself in some ice cream. After ordering I realized I had spent some of the cash I thought I had. I was short what I needed for the ice cream. The cashier walked to her purse and took out what I was missing. I know I said thank you a couple of times but if I said anything more than thank you I would have completely lost my composure. All she said was “try to pay it forward”. I am beyond words. Without knowing how bad of a day I was having she didn’t even hesitate to help me. I’m so thankful but I did not get her name. And of course the ice cream was just what I needed to help me stop sobbing for the night. Words can’t express my gratitude for this girl. Amazing people, delicious ice cream, out of this world service. Purple cow is the place to go. Again, thank you!“

“Abundance of flavors to choose from. A bit pricey. Two standard sundaes (small size with whip, hot fudge and sprinkles cost $16)…. But otherwise an ok experience. We likely won’t return to this location since the Cranston one is a bit more pleasant. They do accept cards & there’s inside seating for after you order. I’d recommend signage to indicate where the line starts instead of just ashtrays, but that’s just me. Overall an okay experience.“

“Cupcake Charlie's cupcakes are addictive and delicious! I started getting them in Plymouth and Mashpee and it's nice having them locally. What I really like is the quality is high, and they are always consistent. I really enjoy all of them but my favorite is the Peanut Butter Pleasure. This cupcake has a delicious peanut butter frosting that has a great flavor without the sugar overbearing. First taste you want to just lick it off. That's what I do. Then I eat the sides of the cupcake like I'm performing surgery. My reward is the center is filled with a decadent gnash. I usually post pictures when I do the reviews. When I open the box of cupcakes I temporarily blackout and can't take pictures. When I awaken the cupcakes are gone. I also have frosting on my face. So now you know why there's no photos. If you love peanut butter, this is a must try!Kid-friendliness: For all the good kids!“

I particularly like to get a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream and purple cow fro-yo (black raspberry base, with chocolate and white chocolate chips). My mom loves coffee heath and Maine black bear. The only issues we've had are frequent and sometimes unpleasant bathroom trips afterward, but we are pretty sure that we are lactose intolerant.We live within walking distance from the Seekonk location, but the Pawtucket location is nice too. “La Fruta Loca is one of my favorite summer treat stops! Everything they have is refreshing and delicious. They carry the freshest fruit I have ever seen and the quality of their products are always great. I have never had a bad experience here! It is bilingual Spanish/English and the staff is always friendly and kind. Wait times are not long and the assortment of drinks, candy, fruit, ice cream, etc.. is great! There is something for everyone.
