“Everything I had was absolutely delicious. The wait staff were awesome as well, the Spanish gentleman that kept my glass of water filled deserves a raise. Appetizer, salad, main course and dessert was better than I would have ever imagined. Only complaint was it was a bit noisy for me.“

“Stopped in on a whim while visiting and were so glad we did. It smelled amazing as soon as we walked in the door! The 3 of us got sandwiches for lunch - Italian, American & Italian roast beef - all were incredibly delicious and huge, we could only eat 1/2 of each. We also had a piece of cheesecake and was hands down the best cheesecake I’ve had in my life - we all tussled for the last bite! ? We sincerely regret not taking several slices!“

Fat Harold's Beach Club New American • $
212 Main St, North Myrtle Beach

“My 'rents (now mid-70's) have been doing the Carolina S*** for near 30 years. While I had experienced places like Fat Harold's with them, my husband and teen son had not (though have heard about it for years). Finally had the chance to take my hubs and kid to see my father dance (mom passed a couple years ago). Not sure what they were expecting, but they were pretty shocked at the abundant crowd and great energy Fat Harold's puts out! If you're the jealous type, either leave it at the door or don't come. You and/or your date are likely to be asked to dance. Not because you're oh so sexy, but because . . . WHY NOT? If you're between 25 and 110 years old, go in with a smile and fun attitude, you'll enjoy yourself here! At the front of FH's is a diner-type place with 4 or 5 booths where you can get a pretty good burger, fries, coke, and look around at all the near-museum history pieces. Follow that up by going into the next area and ordering an adult beverage or two. Have a seat (you might have to wait a few min and be speedy, but you'll get one) and just watch. Seeing all these folks 50+ having a good time and smiling is just good for the soul. Strike up a conversation with the person next to you. "How long you been shaggin'? Where did you learn?" It sounds silly to you, but you're likely to get an earful and be asked if you'd like to learn. (Your answer should be "SURE!") But if not, go on into the back room where the dance floor and bar are less crowded, and the dancers are less experienced. Repeat steps for prior room. You'll leave North Myrtle Beach being able to do "basic" and able tell all your friends back home "I learned how to s***** (at least vertically).“

“The staff is beautiful great fun and accommodating. Angelina, Keita, John, and Ron run a ship that could sail any rough seas. We had a group 20 and they handled us beautifully. If you have a big group, bring them here the ice cream coming soon is to die for!“
