“We did a poke bowl, maki, and the candy cane roll.I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fish. We intentionally try out a few sushi pieces to get a feel for taste, quality, and consistency. The sushi chefs were quick to rise to the occasion. I loved that my yellow tail was cut with an immaculate consistency. The maki was small, but a really solid bite. If pressed, I'd say that my candy cane roll was cut a little larger than I prefer. That being said, I fully enjoyed my meal and greatly appreciated the generous portion of the roll itself.Overall, it's a solid sushi spot and I look forward to my next visit.“
“If you’re gluten free RUN HERE!! Everything on the menu is gluten free except the pasta salad and some noodles on the salad. My husband ordered the Honolulu plate and I ordered the Kilauea (spicy) plate. Both were delicious and they were large portions! I was able to sub the pasta salad for grilled vegetables and my husband had the pineapple which was fresh. “Coco tacos are great. It the only thing I get so I can't speak to the remainder of the menu. The thing that annoys me is tipping in the drive through. Like so many other fast food places they do the handheld device thing that allows for tipping.“
“I drove from Garland all the way over to Hurst to try. The food broke da mouth, this is probably the best Hawaiian food I ever had. We then had the guava cheese cake, I’ve never try this , ono. I will be bringing my braddah Kekoa and Tama to this spot when they visit me. Best spot , Hilo made.“
