My husband has been going here since he was a kid and has been telling me he wanted me to try this place for years. We finally went for lunch a few weeks ago, and I was not disappointed. What can I say about Vernon's other than they have some of the best catfish you will ever eat. They are consistent. They bring out excellent hush puppies with a sweet green tomato relish to start. Try not to eat too much. They have so much to choose from. I have had the catfish fried, blackened and just grilled. You can't go wrong.

We love Vernon's! Prices are very reasonable, and portions are good. Food is delicious. We always pick up to go, but staff are always very kind and courteous. We are a family of 5 and buy 4 adult sized meals and a child's one, and we average about $80 each time, and we always have leftovers tbat we have for lunch the next day.
