“Pleasantly surprised - you could tell the sushi rice was fresh and rolls made to order. Service was excellent. Very friendly owner! Prices were reasonable and the quality was good, and generous portion sizes. This isn’t high end $$$$$$ sushi, but miles above supermarket sushi that’s premade and cold. We come every few months for workshops at the Irish dance school in the same shopping center and several families commented that the food was great, and the owner was super nice. We will definitely return the next time we are back in DFW.“

“My first time dining here. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the service was very fast. I ordered a cucumber salad, the stuffed mushroom appetizer, and the California roll. The cucumber salad came with shredded crab mixed in, and the dressing tangy sweet but with a little spicy kick on the back end. If you order the stuffed mushroom appetizer, I recommend sharing it with others as it is a good sized appetizer. This place has relaxing interior decor, so I never felt rushed to dine and run. Please come visit Ahoyama and enjoy their sushi art!“

“Excellent..... I went yesterday with my boyfriend. Such a great place and great atmosphere. My favourite rolls are Las Vegas, Lobster, and Ahi spicy tower. Also, their yellowtail heaven was out of this world. 10/10. Hats off to their sushi chef. We also tried chicken katsu. It was great too.

Vegetarian options: veggie Fried rice, and ramen without egg is great here.“

The decor is so pretty that I’m envious of their selections.It has taken a while for the popularity of this restaurant to catch on but it seems the word is out now. The menu items are interesting and fresh. Not run-of-the-mill sushi as is found elsewhere. “First time eating at Tokyo Sushi! Went for lunch and got it to go. It was quick, the waiter was very kind and upbeat and the food was fantastic!! I don’t even like cooked rolls and accidentally got one but it was still Delish! The roll combo gets you 2 rolls and miso soup for $15! Hard to beatWill be coming back for a dinner date soon

Kid-friendliness: I had my 2 year old little girl with me and another man had his toddler. I wouldn’t bring her to dinner simply out of wanting others to have a quiet dinner but we were treated kindly and there was a kids menu as well“

“I'm half Japanese and picky about quality of fish. THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL. They have the things that matter to real sushi enthusiasts and not just the rolls that most restaurants seem to focus on (although they do have excellent rolls!). Quality of fish for the price point is absolutely unbeatable!Service can be a little iffy (be patient for your drink refills or get used to flagging people down), but I'll keep coming and telling other people to come as long as their food remains awesome.“
