“Italiano’s recently catered my son’s wedding and it was so good! The staff was very professional and Abbie was amazing to work with. The food came fresh from Temple to Salado! They arrived in a timely matter. The food was a hit with the guests! I will definitely use them again for any future events.“

“What a cute little place!! My husband and I visited here when we had to come to Temple for an appointment. We are both Asian and have severely been missing small Asian businesses while living in CTX. This really hit the spot and it’s in a beautiful location. We both ordered Banh Mi (it was amazing and fresh) but the side soup was our absolute favorite.Parking: Free street spots all around the building, but it would be difficult to park during busy hours.“

“We were staying in Temple but didn't want the old standard chain restaurants for dinner so we looked for one of those quaint Mom and Pop joints that always serves great food and friendly, down-home atmosphere. Boy did we find a great one! Out of town but not too far out! The Oscar Store was perfect! From the friendly greeting and personable service from our waitress to the food and prices we were well pleased. My wife had the chicken fried steak and, believe it or not, I had my tastebuds set for catfish but subbed for liver and onions. Everything was spot on! (We had heard that the fried catfish might be a bit skimpy and I was hungry so I went for the liver.) As we left we met the cashier who happened to be the owner and we had the kind of conversation that makes you feel like you've known each other forever. The place is just what you would expect and tiny country town to have for their bright spot in the area. Rustic and country decor, clean and well appointed with plenty of space to not feel congested. Y'all need to try this one if you're anywhere near Temple/Belton.“

“Showed up for our date but unfortunately La Riv was damaged by a tornado. We were not able to dine there. I hope they recovery quickly from this adversity. I also admire them giving away all the food in their fridges for free post tornado. I hope to dine there again soon!“

“You have to try this place! It's a little homemade bakery that has so many things. Kolaches, any kind you could want, baked goods, pies, dinners and side dishes. Cinnamon rolls, coconut cream cheese rolls, buttermilk pies! You can tell they put their heart and soul into their product...“

“My daughter and son along with their spouses have been here several times. Today they finally got their mama (aka Memaw) to join them. My experience was A+!! The ladies and staff were awesome!! Best wine I've enjoyed in a long time. I enjoyed sampling several wines they offered but have for sure found my favorite!! The atmosphere was outstanding!! “Greeted immediately even though they had just opened they was ready to take our order and I ordered a best burger and my wife ordered the mushroom Swiss and for a single meat with bacon I actually got really full and they have plenty of fries and onion rings definitely will be back again been going to this place since the 90s and the atmosphere always been family orientedKid-friendliness: High chairs available tables are a little small but nothing to complain about“

“I have been back to this place regularly since I wrote this original review. It's always a hustling in there. Very, very busy. I have no complaints whatsoever in regard to the quality of the food. The staff are always friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional. Great place to go with your social circle. Excellent sports bar atmosphere“

“Walking in just after open, Ryan was kind enough to tell us about what was on tap and make suggestions. The atmosphere is welcoming and there are plenty of seating options. There for the Fish-n-Chips, we ordered two and a Ribeye for Mom. We also ordered Cheese Curds. Everything was well made and delicious. The beer selection was diverse with lots of choices for us. They have a full bar, as well, and are prepared to fix you a Jameson any way you like it. Happy Holidays.“

“I love the noodle dishes like this pad se ew with tofu. It is cooked just right and has a generous portion. I like that the tofu and veggies are cut into small enough pieces and lunch comes with a spring roll.Vegetarian options: Tofu available for rice and noodle dishes, spring rolls.“

“My date and I were there at Cheeves for dinner on last night. I was very disappointed about the overcooked 16 oz. Ribeye steak when I asked for medium well and it arrived with no red at all. Medium well is not well done and it is not like it can be sent back to cook it more. I did not want to wait for another steak to be cooked because it took a while for the meal to come and we had plans afterwards. Cook the temperature of the steak as asked. That was a $75+ waste of money.“
