Mastro's Ocean Club

This is my first time leaving a negative review for any restaurant. My husband and I visited the restaurant today to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Halfway through the meal a ROACH is visibly running around our table. The server happened to pass by and I let him know. He was kind enough to get it off the table and kill it. Of course we couldn’t finish our meal because we were disgusted. You would think the manager would come over and offer to have the establishment cover our whole meal. But no, she stated they’d cover the SIDES. As much revenue as this restaurant makes a night, you’d think they would’ve done the right thing immediately and not charged us. It wasn’t until we were driving home that the manager called and offered to refund us for what we paid, which was about $150 or so. Our server and the valet were great. Management clearly needs some help in the customer service department. We will not be returning.

Had dinner at this location on Tuesday night. Was with customers and if I would not have been with them I would have complained. First let me start by saying our bill was over $800 for four people. There were three regular cocktail drinks ordered and one Mocktail. So there was not a ton of alcohol. Our waitress was good but omg what an upsell she did on absolutely everything. We started with a seafood tower which she sold us on way more food than the table could eat and it was $$$$. Other than the presentation nothing down there wowed me but Cocktail, shrimp oysters, and the crab claws at $55 a pop were good nothing spectacular. I ordered chopped wedge salad which I believe had no dressing (was so dark in the place you can’t see) and the bacon was cooked so hard that I almost chipped a tooth on it. I also ordered a 6 ounce filet mignon. It came out cold. It did not come out on the hot plate that they normally serve steaks on and I could barely cut it with my steak knife. Not sure what was going on with that piece of meat, but it was awful and cold and over seasoned. (It was horrible) The sides were broccoli and king crab fried rice, which looked like it might’ve been reheated not good. Our other guest got another 6 ounce fillet, which I told totally saw her struggling to cut as well, and she asked for a box to go. I didn’t ask her, but I feel like she probably did not enjoy it. This is by far the most overpriced fail of a steakhouse. It was very unfortunate because it was very pricey. Also valet is not included so you have to chill out another eight dollars for valet plus a tip you would think after paying almost $1000 for dinner that restaurant would pay for your valet. Will not ever go back to this location.

First of all, I don’t recommend big parties, unless there’s only one ticket. We were there on Saturday night, and the lady who booked the party canceled with another restaurant because of they said they couldn’t separate tickets. They asked the representative at maestros and they said they could. This was a total disaster. We were left to do our own mass to come up with the remaining that needs to be paid on our own and it was a lot issues from trying to make sure everything was paid for dishes that was supposed to be removed that was said they were going to be removed by a person our name grants and they weren’t someone else came over and we told them about what the end of the guy Grant said he was. This put a whole damper on the party. I would think it was almost $2000. We had the money to pay it. We were just trying to get the details and make sure that everybody who had what they had was paid for I’m a supervisor and I have 32 years of hospitality a restaurant experience, high was a palled I’ve never ever seen something get escalated so fast to uncommon security security shows him the sheriffs department shows up. I can’t imagine that we would ever attend another maestros again I go to a lot of Mr. Landry’s restaurant but this year at the level that we paid at the level of the service was great. The food was great until this happened.
