My wife and stopped in for a beer. We are from Oklahoma. They have locally made drafts. My wife had the Mexican Lager and I had the American. Both very good.We tried the chili and the clam chowder. Never thought to put sour cream on chili. It was surprisingly delicious. The clam chowder was tasty. For me, I would of cut the potatoes a little smaller. Until 2024, we had only dined at Halvorson’s once in the 5+ years we’ve been living in Burlington. Since January, we’ve dined in or had takeout a dozen times, and we ate glad to be regulars now! I like this place for the cozy feel and good food. It is a little bit pricey but it's also on Church St. so maybe there is a bit of a premium there. Overall great service and atmosphere.
