“Hands down some of the best food I’ve had. Definitely the best I’ve had on the island and very fairly priced for what you get. It was the owners cooking tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. My steak was cooked perfectly to my asking of medium rare, the asparagus was the way it should be, rice pilot was well seasoned. And truffle fries to boot with extra crispy fries.“

“Cute, and homey restaurant. Great ocean views no matter where you're sitting (we were also sat next to the fireplace, which was awesome on a cold, overcast day ). Service was good. I had the fish tacos, which were good. The pico de gallo was a little lacking, but not terrible.“

“My husband and I stayed the night on Lopez Island and decided to eat dinner at Haven Kitchen&Bar. We loved everything about the experience. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Had a lovely talk with the owner, thoroughly impressed with the way they run their restaurant. When visiting Lopez Island, give this place a visit. It will not disappoint.“
“Market Chef is a small shop but with ample natural lighting and open kitchen its ambiance is quite cheerful. A couple of thoughts: - Fast and friendly service - Few tables inside (only 2 tables), so if it rains and if there's no space inside you should order to go - Really fresh ingredients make everything sing - Friday fish tacos are to die for - Roast beef sandwich is savory, even with the dreaded-oh-I-don't-like-olive olive jam - Culinary gems from around the world I was pleasantly shocked they even carry Mexican Monte Xanic wines, normally you'd need to get them in San Diego or cross the border to Valle de Guadalupe! We tried coming back to next day only to find out they're normally closed Sat-Mon. Oh well, if I ever find my way back to San Juan Island I would not hesitate to stop by again!“

“Last year, I had the pleasure of visiting the incredible Orcas Cafe. However, today's review focuses on the present moment. My girlfriend, who is currently in Orcas for business, was having a rough morning. Despite being miles away in Texas, I desperately wanted to be there to comfort her with a hug. So, I called and Ryan, the GM picked up the phone.I inquired if his team could deliver a flower or, at the very least, an oatmeal raisin cookie (a small gesture she would recognize as from me). Ryan went above and beyond, swiftly arranging for the treat to be delivered. When my girlfriend called to express her gratitude, it warmed my heart. Ryan, your assistance meant the world to me. When we next visit, I insist on treating you to a drink or two. Sincerely, a grateful and loyal patron.E“

“We ate here on our honeymoon and both felt like it was the best meal that we've had in years (and we're picky). We're both vegetarians and we got all 4 veggie dishes on the menu plus 2 really nice glasses of wine. The server was friendly and great to work with. This restaurant is a special place and we'll absolutely be back the next time we're on Lopez Island.“
