This is when Kimmie who was behind the counter saw that we had multiple items to take home and brought a takeout bag to our table with a warm smile, "here we go.," even though they were very busy. Even the full-service restaurants do not provide such services with so many are understaffed these days, we were very pleasantly surprised. Thank you, Kimmie.”

“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!”

“Took a chance on this hole in the wall place and think I just found my favorite Ethiopian place in Portland. They give generous portions at affordable price and everything was delicious. My partner and I tried a bunch of vegetarian items. The lentil sambusas were so flavorfully simple and the lentil injera appetizer was super delicious. And all the sides in the veggie combo were delicious, even the collard greens, which other restaurants normally make flavorless. Will definitely be back!”

“Incredible. I’ve never felt such a profound emotional reaction to something as simply advertised as pizza. It was an out of body experience and I’m assuming it’s this way because it’s somebody’s life work. It’s the only explanation I have. If that’s the case then it’s somehow elaborately deceptive in its facade of simple ingredients because it’s completely engineered to make you feel something so profound it catches you off guard in a world full of distractions.”

The fries are seasoned with authority(.) I was trying to order online but my card kept declining, super weird. So I called and homegirl was super patient, took my order and ran my card (it worked). Wonderful food and staff will always have me locked in every time! Also if you are on the fence about treating yourself to something sweet, get off the fence and get the cookie! You won’t regret it!”

“NE Portland has been waiting for food like this. Indian seems very underrepresented out this way, but no more. The huge menu is a little overwhelming since flavors and ingredients overlap quite a bit. But everything we tried was incredible and hot and freshly made. The entire dining space, indoor and out could use a huge makeover to match the high quality of the food. The staff was also super helpful and friendly.Kid-friendliness: High chair available, but caution, even "mild" dishes pack some heat. The cheese naan was a huge hit with the little ones.”
