Nearly every year, we get a dozen tamales. Sometimes we come over from Tacoma, but usually we convince a friend who is already going to Yakima Valley for their own purpose, and introduce them to Los Hernandez delicious tamales. They always thank us for the great tip, and become a new fan too.We thank the Hernandez family for years of good food and the fun memories!Vegetarian options: The asparagus pepperjack tamales might be vegetarian (?)
Wonderful traditional tamales made with corn husks. Pork, chicken, cactus with pepper jack cheese and my favorite, asparagus grown locally with pepper jack cheese. Bring your own salsa, theirs are gringo style. They also sell them frozen by the 1/2 dozen.
