Probably one of the few restaurants in Yakima that would not feel at all out of place in Seattle, or NYC, or another large city - not bashing Yakima at all, but just a much more ‘hip’ vibe then most other places in the area.The Asian-fusion menu rotates frequently, and is always thoughtful, innovative, and honestly just delicious. It is a bit limited, but at the same time, there always seems to be a good range of options from salads, to fish, to ramen, and a number of staples. Much of the menu (if not all) is designed to be shared, small-plates style, and has always been just wonderfully prepared.Service has always been friendly, and a lot more easy going then you would expect for a higher end place - which is a good thing.The prices are higher then many other restaurants in the area, but are justified by the quality of the food, service, and just experience that they offer. Just one of the best restaurants in Yakima.”

“Our server was Delight H. She lived up to her name as she was attentive and ready with answers to questions. The food was good, however the oysters were over breaded but the taste was fine. Prime rib was excellent and the shaved prime rib sandwich was beyond compare. Desserts were very satisfying. Price was what I expected, nothing is cheap now,days. We will be back!”

“A little bummed today, we are 100% Taj supporters and have gone here since the initial owner Jessie and her husband opened it. This was the first time we’ve been back after they closed their buffet for awhile. No rice pudding, which was always a staple with the mango and empty hot food bins, sauce but no meat. They’ve also moved the buffet right in the way to walk into the restaurant, so when there is a line, you can’t get around for the restroom or you have to wait for people to move when you are being seated. I dunno, not a top 10 day there today in my book, however, we’ll still go. I appreciate that they finally reupholstered their booths.”

“So good. So much food. Such good service. The breadsticks were hot and fresh. The Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara was so yum and such large portions. Pretty sure someone accidentally added an extra chicken filet but no worries. Oh, by the way, I requested fettuccini instead of spaghetti, and they obliged. Not sure you should expect that every time, every restaurant but it was kind of them to do that for me. And thank you Senora Tomas for the amazing service.And I got a mint! :)”

“This Italian restaurant is Yakima's gem. The place is very festive with very gracious staff. My water glass was always filled and everyone working there was friendly. I was able to have their chicken tacos, brussel sprouts, stuffed mushrooms, & the salmon. I enjoyed each and everyone of them throroughly. I love sauces so I enjoyed dipping my bread in the sauce that came with the stuffed mushrooms. It's a big place so it can accommodate huge parties. I will definitely be back.”

“Amazing food one of the best burgers I've ever had and the brisket is definitely best in town, it's always a great friendly place to bring your family my kids love it and we always have great service, the hosts seats us as quickly as they can, the servers are amazing, and the managers are friendly, all around atmosphere is great. “This family likes to have their kitchen in obscure places. First it was in the back of a gas station mini-mart. It is now renamed as shown and is located in the back of Valley Brewing, as noted. They don't have their own entrance so after winding your way through the crowd in the brewery and past the garage door you'll see a table with a tablet for your order. Once you yell toward the back, hopefully someone will appear. And that's just the beginning. The food is still fresh and tasty and authentic. There are many tables on the covered patio they share with the brewery, which is a nice addition to to-go orders only. Hope you find it because it's worth it. Use GPS because it's actually north of Fruitvale.”

We had the Gordita Combo and Quesadilla/Birria. The customer service for a Mexican Restaurant was great!!All the workers looked well kept and groomed! (This is very important to us)The restroom to my surprise was CLEAN and the Dining experience was nice. They have nice decore, white granite/quarts tables and comfortable chairs. When I saw this- I knew the food would be great! And it was!!They did have very loud music playing outside. But you couldn't hear it from inside the restaurant. Which was nice - our family was able to have a conversation without the loud music. I would recommend having the inside music a tad-bit lower.All in all I will be back for more delicious food.”

“My favorite restaurant. In Yakima, in Central Washington, in Washington. Never had a bad meal or server. Hostesses and bar staff all are so kind and great at their jobs! Even one time the order wasn't exactly right, and it was still SO GOOD that i didn't want to take it back, but the bartender noticed right away, and they replaced it fully. I drive all the way from Ellensburg just for the steak and Risotto entre. And now that I work close by, I will be having the salmon chowder and a salad as often as possible! “When I first walked in, it was not all chaotic. Servers we serving, and the place didn't feel stale or muggy, it felt welcoming and had a real calm atmosphere. I went with my father, and he said the same thing. We were approached and were given a choice to sit were we wanted, and that is a huge deal for me. Im more private in my conversations, and we we able to pick the perfect spot we felt comfortable to sit at, and that alone raised the bar for me. Just being given the option took away any fear of others listening to our conversation, and it felt safe. Once we sat down, it was like a whirl wind of customer service. It felt like a mixture of military/5star attention. We were asked within 10 seconds of sitting what we would like to drink, and tables and silverware were clean!. . Floors clean, smelled great, and windows were clean and clear. I notice these things because it says a lot about a business owner, especially at a restaurant. Once we got our drinks, 10 seconds later we were given menus, and told to take our time. Within 3-4min. we were approached and asked if we were ready to order, or if we needed more time. We ordered quickly, and we amazed of the time it took from walking in to ordering was less than 5-7. Super quick, and we really liked that. After we ordered, I liked how fast and quickly everyone that was coming in, was being served quickly. I also notice many different nationalities eating. This made me Happy, because it really says a lot about a business. With so many cultural differences, and how different races of people eat, communicate, and live, many businesses fail to learn cultural sensitivity. This is important, because I see a business draw so many different people in, IT SAYS, WE ARE TOP NOTCH, and. your business & opinion matters for us to give every single person TOP NOTCH SERVICE. Once we got our food, it was AMAZING!. . Never had hash browns like that, eggs on point(over easy), bacon cooked PERFECTLY!, Sausage done right with great old fashioned flavor, refreshments FRESH!. . (refills were done quickly), biscuits & gravy done perfect 99.8 (maybe a bit more pepper to be 100), toast was my only uhh. I wish they would have served Texas toast with what was presented to us on our plates. If Texas toast is added, I would say this is the place to eat breakfast from the places I have been to, and go eat out a lot from Washington, down to Texas, and different countries. The verbal articulation, and the ability to get things right each and every time we requested things was on point 100%. It was nice going to a place that actually does its homework to make a great restaurant come alive during business hours is far and few, and a rarity now days. The servers made our visit a great one, and the chefs did their jobs TOP NOTCH, and served a breakfast that I believe would be hard to beat in any competition. This establishment is a my favorite for breakfast NOW, I will be going Saturday, and look forward to the same service. If we have the same experience, I will say this with confidence, IT IS THE BEST RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFAST IN THE YAKIMA VALLEY!. . Thank you Waffle Cafe for making my day a great one, and what a beautiful meal. It truly was art in my opinion to receive such great service, and a 5star meal. You have undeniably earned my business, and look forward to eating a great once more when I return with all my family. “Great little family run Mexican food restaurant. It meets multiple criteria. First of all, authentic Mexican cooking isn’t going to come from a high school kid cranking out tacos. The kitchen and staff are authentic. Next criteria, when you see the restaurant packed with Hispanic diners, it’s a very good sign (never understood why Taco Bell checks that box often)The food and service were excellent. “The gal that took our order was very pleasant knowledgeable about the menu items, and offered her suggestion on which salad I should choose. My son, was excited to eat the crinkle cut fries and they did have some ice cream options. We enjoyed dinner. The service was great. The food came out nice and hot, while drive-through window was taken care of, and those behind us were also waited on. We are definitely coming back as this was our first time here. CUSTOMER SERVICE- 2 star. the guy that took our orders seemed annoyed at our ordering style. he had trouble hearing us so we were dang near yelling. lol SERVICE- 3 star. we got our food quickly, but it was incorrect. we ordered milkshakes but finished our food before we got them. went to the counter with our receipt and we're met with "you didn't? you didn't? " a guy named Hal came back with 2 shakes. one of which was incorrect. ENVIRONMENT- 4 star. great for families as there are arcade games, drive up, drive thru and sit in dining. plenty of seating inside. “When I first walked in, it was not all chaotic. Servers we serving, and the place didn't feel stale or muggy, it felt welcoming and had a real calm atmosphere. I went with my father, and he said the same thing. We were approached and were given a choice to sit were we wanted, and that is a huge deal for me. Im more private in my conversations, and we we able to pick the perfect spot we felt comfortable to sit at, and that alone raised the bar for me. Just being given the option took away any fear of others listening to our conversation, and it felt safe. Once we sat down, it was like a whirl wind of customer service. It felt like a mixture of military/5star attention. We were asked within 10 seconds of sitting what we would like to drink, and tables and silverware were clean!. . Floors clean, smelled great, and windows were clean and clear. I notice these things because it says a lot about a business owner, especially at a restaurant. Once we got our drinks, 10 seconds later we were given menus, and told to take our time. Within 3-4min. we were approached and asked if we were ready to order, or if we needed more time. We ordered quickly, and we amazed of the time it took from walking in to ordering was less than 5-7. Super quick, and we really liked that. After we ordered, I liked how fast and quickly everyone that was coming in, was being served quickly. I also notice many different nationalities eating. This made me Happy, because it really says a lot about a business. With so many cultural differences, and how different races of people eat, communicate, and live, many businesses fail to learn cultural sensitivity. This is important, because I see a business draw so many different people in, IT SAYS, WE ARE TOP NOTCH, and. your business & opinion matters for us to give every single person TOP NOTCH SERVICE. Once we got our food, it was AMAZING!. . Never had hash browns like that, eggs on point(over easy), bacon cooked PERFECTLY!, Sausage done right with great old fashioned flavor, refreshments FRESH!. . (refills were done quickly), biscuits & gravy done perfect 99.8 (maybe a bit more pepper to be 100), toast was my only uhh. I wish they would have served Texas toast with what was presented to us on our plates. If Texas toast is added, I would say this is the place to eat breakfast from the places I have been to, and go eat out a lot from Washington, down to Texas, and different countries. The verbal articulation, and the ability to get things right each and every time we requested things was on point 100%. It was nice going to a place that actually does its homework to make a great restaurant come alive during business hours is far and few, and a rarity now days. The servers made our visit a great one, and the chefs did their jobs TOP NOTCH, and served a breakfast that I believe would be hard to beat in any competition. This establishment is a my favorite for breakfast NOW, I will be going Saturday, and look forward to the same service. If we have the same experience, I will say this with confidence, IT IS THE BEST RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFAST IN THE YAKIMA VALLEY!. . Thank you Waffle Cafe for making my day a great one, and what a beautiful meal. It truly was art in my opinion to receive such great service, and a 5star meal. “Thank you so much for impressing my mother in law who drove over all the way from bellingham to be with us. We have been talking about this place for years and really wanted to take her for mother's day. She loved her crepes! We had a party of 6 and the food took a little while but it was mother's day and was pretty busy in there, but no big deal. The food came out hot and they have big portions, so we all shared our dishes. My kids didn't complain for once, we eat fast so we were in and out and ready for our next morning activity. I'll be back next weekend, there was another item I wanted to try!”
