“My new favorite restaurant in Green Bay. Friendly service, fair prices, and delicious food. We went with a group of 7 people and everyone had something different. Every person loved their food and said they would order it again. I had the Pad Thai and it was very flavorful. “We drove past this place when we were house hunting in August and decided not to stop because it was too busy-- big mistake! Big! Huge! It's taken us 6 months to finally try it and we will not go to a chain Italian restaurant again! The ambiance was great; son in law kept saying it felt very "homey". Service was great as well. Interacted with probably 5 different people all of whom were friendly. The food-- SOOO Good! Being our first time here, we tried a variety of items; House Special pizza, Spicy Garlic Marinara pasta and Pesto pasta, as well as brownie cheesecake dessert. NOTHING disappointed! The meatballs on the marinara dish were very flavorful, pasta cooked just right. Same with the pesto pasta-- picky son in law even liked the chicken! My pizza snob husband and daughter were super impressed with the pizza; thin crust with no lack of flavor! We will definitely be back soon!”

Chips and salsa were homemade and given as I was seated. I was surprised with a small bowl of what I would consider a mexican style chili/soup that was free (not on the menu). Delicious. Ordered 1beef/asada tostada and 2 pork/pastor tacos mexican style. Also asked for rice and beans. Mexican bottle of Coke. Authentic and awesome. “What an awesome concept - unique and innovative. The owner, Jillian, is very friendly and informative. The wines are self-serve: By the taste, half glass, or full glass. You insert your chipped card before the pour and pay when leaving. There are approximately 12 white and 12 red offerings. I did not eat, but there is a nice menu containing a variety of small plates. She offers a few craft beers and cocktails for the non-wine drinkers - also soda, expresso, and tea. Great location downtown directly across from Hotel Northland, which I also highly recommend. La Carreta 1657 Main St, Green Bay Tacos • $

“Very authentic Mexican restaurant specializing in the popular dishes of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The famous 'Torta Ahogada' is on the menu, the crown jewel of the Tapatios. The sauce is not as spicy as the sauce of the tortas ahogadas of Guadalajara, and the bread is not the same due to Green Bay's much lower elevation and stronger humidity, but they make due with what they got and make an incredible product. Their sauce is unique, pork tender, and bread soft. Salsa is outstanding, chips have a real corn flavor, and guacamole very rich. Estrella Jalisco beer available, as well as mixed drinks from Jalisco. Birria tacos of the California style have great flavor and should be tried also. Service very welcoming and genuine. El Carreta is Guadalajara without having to go all the way to Guadalajara.”

If they could figure out how to bottle that scent, I swear they'd be millionaires overnight!”

“Is it bad that my child’s first words were “Macs” (Macarons) and “Coo-coos” (Cookies) because we visit McKayla Marie Sweets so often? Some say that’s bad parenting, I say my child is a genius for having such great taste at a young age. It’s such a joy visiting McKayla and Keegan, they greet you with a smile, and every baked good they sell is somehow better than the last one. We’ve been enjoying their treats for over a year now and I don’t think we will ever tire of how tasty they are!McKayla has done 3 cakes for us so far and they have always been delicious. The process of ordering the cakes was simple and SO easy to understand from the website, and if you have any questions it’s fun to stop in and bounce questions and ideas off McKayla. (Plus you have an excuse to buy a lil snack)The cream puffs EASILY beat the ones at the state fair, and don’t walk, RUN whenever she has tuxedo cake or death by chocolate cake in the case because holy moly they’re the most incredible desserts you will ever try. Don’t sleep on her S’Mores Cookies - They taste like childhood summers, so yummy and nostalgic! As someone who lives by the philosophy of “I always need a little treat.” MMS checks that box each and every time we visit.”

“Strap in because I've got a lot to say about Olde World Pastries Plus. Spoiler alert - it's all good. Although I'm not from Wisconsin, I've had my fair share of Kringles from Racine to Green Bay over the years. I've had some good Kringles and some that were, well, sub-par. But when I stopped in Olde World Pastries Plus this past October and tried one of their Kringles, I knew I found something special. The pastry of their Kringle is light, buttery and flakey, and just dense enough to have a nice chew and mouth-feel. The pastry can make or break a Kringle, and this one is a homerun. Strike that - a grand slam. These folks have their pastry recipe dialed in. The fillings are of high quality, too. With or without cream cheese, each Kringle is sure to delight and satisfy. And the proportions are well executed. The filling to pastry ratio gives a wonderful flavor without overpowering the pastry. You can taste and enjoy each element. I've sampled the strawberry, cherry with cream cheese, caramel nut and the Brandy Old Fashion Kringles so far. There will be more in my future for sure. Sidebar - get the Brandy Old Fashion Kringle right now. Stop reading this and order one or stop in the bakery and get one. Just go do it. It won't change your life, but it will make your belly feel like it did. But wait, there's more! Recently I had ordered several Kringles to be shipped to my home, about 1,400 miles away. I had the pleasure of speaking with Wanda and the staff when they took my order. They answered all my questions and were most helpful. They are polite, courteous and easy to talk to, and they treat you like a friend or a neighbor. Unfortunately, there was issue with the shipper, and I called Wanda to let her know. She immediately took actions to make things right, even though there was no fault of Olde World Pastries Plus. She ensured that I was happy with their service as well as their product, and boy did she succeed. Thanks to her actions, my family gets to enjoy some delicious Kringles this holiday season. I would give Olde World Pastries Plus more than 5 out of 5 stars if I could. In fact, I'm not sure stars are even good enough of a rating system. All I know is that I'm one very satisfied customer, and a customer for life. (And I'm a hero in my family for bringing these home.) But don't just take my word for it, go get some Kringles from Olde World Pastries Plus. Oh, and tell Wanda I said hi.”

Not only did the refund my order, they remade it so I would be fresh when I got home, let me keep the original order that wasn't delivered, and gave me a free rice krispy treat. The manager was so nice and I really appreciated the amazing service. I've always like Noodles and Company, but I'll definitely continue going to this store now.”

“I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or exaggerate but I'm going to be honest. I haven't been there for years. and when I came in the environment felt different. it seemed very understaffed and the employee morale was really down I honestly felt bad for them. but we had a waitress tonight by the name of Chloe. this young lady was an awesome waitress and she did her best to make the experience a little better, but she was a very good waitress. I don't plan on returning until maybe they can bring this place back up a little bit again. but I absolutely had no problem with the food it was good.”

“Four of us enjoyed a Friday night fish fry. Food was very good, as was the price. It was also nice to be handed real menus, and not be told that their menu can be viewed on my phone! Naps also has a nice little patio. Great when the weather is nice.”

“Ordered a birthday cake for my 2 year old here. The marble cake itself was pretty good, standard, nothing crazy, but I didn’t expect it to be. Buttercream frosting was tasty, thick and creamy. But the decorating was impressive and beyond my expectations, especially for the price. I told them I just wanted a Baby Shark themed cake without giving any more direction than that and this is what they made for us (except the #2 candle). So A+ for effort and making her day special! Thanks! :)”

“I always shop this store but am very disappointed lately. The hot food area is only open from 11:00 Am till 2:00 Pm it used to open till at least 5:00 PM. Anyone who works out cannot go there after work to get supper. And some days the food is dried out and old it is not taken care of. The east side used to be open later, but they have been down for over 3 weeks. Besides the hot food area, the store is a great place to shop. We have talked about going to Festival Foods and try their hot food area.”

“I tried bay area burger for the first time recently. Food was great. Smash burger was what one would expect and the brioche bun tied it all together. Onion rings were spot on!The only criticism I have would be the cost. I felt that the $$$ for a Smash burger and onion rings was a little on the high side, despite the food being really good.”

“Good food, good service. Reasonableness. Went there on 3/10 late night for a very early breakfast since I was having eye surgery the next afternoon. The place was not busy. Everything clean. Our server was real nice. The food didn't take long and there was plenty of it. It was all delicious. We got regular refills of coffee and stayed till midnight. “Nice place to stop for a beer, and well we didn't eat It appeared there was a lot of good food going out to the patrons that were. We did have some very good beer choices and enjoyed the ability to pick from multiple breweries. There were probably 25 to 30 different tap choices. This included even vodka based opportunities. It was a fun stop. It's located right along the Riverwalk which made it very easy to get to by walk. It's not that far from the Neville Museum which is where we were planning to visit but we're early and hadn't opened yet.”
