“Not a local was just visiting,but this place was amazing! It's one of the best croissants I've ever had! They don't have a way to heat up the pastries after baking, but the ham croissant was still amazing room temp. I highly recommend if you need a good local breakfast place. And it's woman owned from what I understand! Just another plus in my book!“

“Nothing beats a paper bag full of assorted pan dulce from El Hornito. We make a point to stop in whenever we're in the area and are never disappointed. They have a wide assortment of classic Mexican baked goods, supplemented with more traditionally European sweets such as frosted cupcakes and chocolate croissants. Everything is fresh and flavorful, from their surprisingly tender conchas to their unparalleled besos. The service is very friendly and you can tell the owners take immense pride in their work. All in all, a much-welcome addition to the Far West Side.“

“One of my favorite foods is pastys, I was excited to learn about this place, otherwise you would find them normal in the u.p area of Wisconsin. All of the varieties are great! “Doughnuts are amazing. My family showed up on Friday night after getting some pizza. The workers there, a husband wife combo, were amazing. Not only were the doughnuts amazing, the workers laughed and joked with my 4 year old son. Showing him all the doughnuts they had in stock. They even gave us 2 free doughnuts to take home for tomorrow. I will be buying all doughnuts from here from now on. 10/10“

“Amazing customer service from Claudia. She was very responsive, helpful and creative in getting our vision for our wedding perfectly. We had very delicious and generous portions for the tres leches cake tasting that was set up! It was so moist and sweet, just how I like it. We ended up doing a variety of oreo, strawberry, and vanilla tres leches, along with Mexican wedding cookies and brownies, which were a highlight of our wedding day. The communication was great, we didn't worry about delivery or even knew they had arrived to deliver the desserts! It all just appeared at the venue, looking better than I had imagined. The Bakers Breakfast was perfect with its sourdough bread, salad, eggs and ham. I highly recommend if you want a quick, cute, amazing cafe with nothing but the best staff. “I want to say how EXCITED and happy I was to stumble upon The High Crowd. One of the first (to my knowledge) places to sell delta 9 THC infused coffee, teas, lemonades and baked goods. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot, the woman working was very helpful, very knowledgeable about the drinks and products. I got the pistachio latte iced with macadamia nut milk. I added the “blast off” level (50mg of delta 9). I do imbibe daily in the regular herb, so I have some tolerance. I sipped 1/2- 2/3 of my 20oz drink and felt it 20 minutes later. I took a 3 hour nap when I got home. I also got a 75mg chocolate cupcake but haven’t tried it yet. I am very excited and I hope to see similar shops open up.“

“Everything I have tried has been incredible, delicious and inventive. Second Breakfast offers monthly subscription boxes, with a few baked items, along with pop ups at local farmers markets. I really love the seasonal flavors and the variety that is offered. Each box or season comes new and tasty items to try. It's always fun to see what's baking and what's next to try!“

“I love the idea of making full use of a classic, lovely bank building by adding other services! Other cities should learn from this!When our vacation plans in Madison were challenged by surprise cold and snow, this was a refuge. This "dining space" was spacious and attractive. We had a leisurely breakfast of breakfast burritos with hot beverages and wished we had brought a board game. We browsed through a couple books while our son took a video conference call in a vacant adjacent room. I hope more community groups and remote workers will use these rooms. How creative to also offer a recording studio space for vloggers and musicians! Stylish, clean, non-gender-specific bathrooms, too. Our son enjoyed chatting with the barista about mass transit, something Madison does well. In this walkable neighborhood, this space is an oasis with lots of potential.“
