“Bartenders were really busy but still very attentive. All of our food choices were really good. We ordered chicken nachos, jalapeno poppers, Reuben bites and chicken wings.Bathrooms were clean and temperature of the bar was nice and warm on a day that was below zero outside.“

“This was a new place for us and we liked the Friday Fish Fry. It was very good and the options were endless. We had takeout and ordering was so easy. The meal was ready on time. The parking lot was full, but I was able to street park a block away. We will be back.“

“First time at the new location and I liked it! The HH specials are wonderful, the food is yummy and solid for bar food. We shared some curds and I got a wrap which was perfect to split for 2 people. It was a sunny summer day so sitting outside was divine and I would recommend doing so. They also have plenty of space inside and 2 entrances so beware! Your tabs don't cross over to the two bars, so once you pick a place stay there but I would come back!“

“It was my first time eating at Blue Moon. I should’ve gotten a burger but I ended up getting the California Rueben with waffle fries. Both were very good! I will need to try a burger next time. We went for lunch on Fish Fry Friday, which was obviously pretty busy. Place was packed!“

“This review is in response to Britta's review. We were one of the three parties of two that your group of three thought you could bypass for whatever reason. Despite the obvious line of people waiting to be seated, your group of three marched to the front and sat down at the bar without asking the patrons in front of you or waiting on the staff to seat you. As you might imagine if you had a thread of decency, this act irritated those of us that had been waiting long before you marched in to grace our presence. When you were made aware of your gross oversight by the extremely kind and sweet student that works at Sweet Home Wisconsin to help make ends meet for school and did not divulge her name to you because you are not nice, you left in a huff and told her you were going to write a bad review. This upset the young lady and was totally uncalled for. You were the one that was rude and as far as food left on plates by patrons, well, you were there for one hot minute so I don't think you are an impartial observer or judge. We on the other hand enjoyed fantastic service and even better food. Make Sweet Home Wisconsin your game day destination but please be kind to the staff and patrons.“

“Great drinks, great service, food was solid for a local neighborhood bar. Happened to come in on a busy night due to a UW volleyball game and sat next to the owners family (side note, guy looks like he could be Chris Farley's little brother). Great people, great staff. I'll definitely come back on my next business trip to Madison.“

“Everything about Tipsy Cow is amazing! The food, service, and atmosphere is wonderful! We got the goat cheese curds and OMG they were so delicious! And my family all got the cheeseburger, it was so delicious as well! All the food tasted so fresh, especially the cheddar on the burger. They have a bar, and a dining room. We sat in the dining room, and it had a lovely cozy vibe. Our server was very nice, and we got our food very quickly! We’ll definitely be coming here next time we’re visiting Madison! Highly recommend!!Kid-friendliness: They have a dining room, as well as a kids menu, with a great burger!“

“This is a great establishment - a Madison staple, if you will. Speaking as a true Madisonian, they probably have the overall second best burger in Madison (first is Caribou Tavern on Johnson St - get ). Anywho, the bartenders Jenn and her husband Logan are dope! They are "people-people". The older dude Jason is cool too and real good at his job. All in all, great food! Especially since they have limited equipment to work with, as far as a "kitchen". GREAT DRINKS / great drink prices. Cool bartenders whom are good at their jobs. The one and only down fall of Licari's is this guy Austin. Guy sucks at his job lmao. You order a brat and it never comes... order wings with ranch and buffalo and you never get the sauces. There's never a time where he doesn't mess up the order. In fact, I play a game now every time I go where I order a simple drink and a simple food menu item and he never fails to mess it up in some way. It's just hilarious at this point. In conclusion, go to Licari's! Good drinks and food + activities like darts, gaming machines, and pull tabs!! Fun spot no doubt. Just make sure anyone other than Austin serves you (laughing but serious).“

“Jonathan was an incredible server!!! He split the bill for me and all my friends, was super kind and accommodating, and made sure we were all taken care of. Not only that, but his service was incredibly fast when he was taking all of the tables himself!! We would come back just for him!“

“Love this place. It's totally unassuming. You'd think it was just a dive bar on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere...but it's much more. Fantastic food and great supper club atmosphere. Really, really nice patio. A must visit!!“

“New to the area we found this restaurant on yelp. We went for a hamburger and were very happy to have stumbled across a delicious meal, welcoming atmosphere, and additional entertainment with bingo. We will be back for both the food and bingo.“

“Palette provides exquisite dining in an unpresumptuous atmosphere. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, with offerings to please even those with the most discriminating tastes. And the seasonally crafted cocktails are, simply put, masterpieces of mixology...alcoholic works of art, if you will! Don't pass up the opportunity to imbibe one, or several if you have someone to drive you home.“

“I suppose I should state that hipster stuff annoys me a bit, so yeah... probably should take my review with a grain of salt.None the less, I've had the Bob's Bad Breath burger several times here. Wasn't the greatest this past time. Dry. Not super flavorful.Salad was really good.Staff was doing exactly what they do. Being hipsters, but serving food with a smile and helpful.“

“The first day we came, we tried the root beer and we now visit every week. They provide amazing service, food, and drink. The pizza is the best in the area and the homemade appetizers are just right. The waiters are very kind and we strike up conversations with them all the time. Anyone I know could tell you that I'm terrible at ordering and the employees are always understanding and patient. My family intends to keep visiting and we only expect the quality and ambiance to improve. This place is amazing and they definitely deserve a five star review.“

“First experienced the Rigby for Drag Bingo this month and had a blast! Pretty reasonable prices for a place in the capitol area. The french fries are unmatched and the employees were super friendly! We met the manager as well, who made a point to come up and introduce ourselves since she didn’t recognize us.We’ll definitely be back for more of their many events in the future!“

“Lots has already been said about this place, but a couple things that I haven't seen as much--1. It is very dark in the dining room and the bulbs are pink/red. Like, I wanted a good look at my burger after I cut it in half to check out the toppings, and I had to turn on my phone's flashlight.2. The menu says that all burgers are cooked to medium unless specified otherwise, but mine arrived with no pink.3. There aren't any seating options that aren't barrel style chairs or booths. The barstools are the same as the chairs, just higher. It's good! I'll go back when I'm in the neighborhood at an off peak time.“

The staff went above and beyond to make this experience special for us, I couldn't have asked for more and even had shots ready for our graduate and her friends after. “This was a great sports bar to watch the Packers game, drink some beer and have food. The bartender was fast and he was always aware of the customers. The food was great also! Highly recommend the Hawk’s burger and cheese curds. Overall was a great experience for my first time to Madison!“

“I went to the Echo Tap over the weekend because I had a craving for a burger. I didn’t know that there was a hockey game that night so it was quite busy but our server was very nice and accommodating despite how many tables he had. But the burger I had… it was the BEST burger I’ve had in a long long time! It was cooked perfectly and the flavors were perfect. Highly highly recommend!!“

“It was super crowded (always is on a Friday night), but that is because they're so popular! The food was delicious, and the wait staff was all really friendly.Kid-friendliness: The food was quick to arrive even on their busiest night which I really appreciated with kids in tow.“

“This is a fairly large bar with 18 seats, and 12 tables, located in the Edgewater Hotel. It's sister restaurant, the Statehouse, is a high end eatery with fabulous views of Lake Mendota.Augie's was named after long time owner of the hotel, who was jovial and friendly with patrons. I found this spot, certainly the bar, still seating talkative and genuine friendly folks. We came here on Thanksgiving Day, and enjoyed local brews (Spotted Cow) and a tasty Bloody Mary. PIC had the turkey dinner, and at $26, was a big MEH. It was all dark meat that was fatty, semi-good mashed potatoes and dressing and sprouts. Pumpkin pie was likely frozen. However, I had their Augie's burger, and at $18, it was a steal!! Two smashed patties, smokey strips of bacon, cheese, lettuce, REAL tomato, onions and drippy-but-yum aioli and crispy hand cut fries- I finished that baby off with pleasure!Patrons at the bar included locals and hotel guests, who clued us in to their Friday fish fry. Unfortunately, it was Thursday, so no dice. But... the fry includes marble rye, coleslaw, fries, tartar sauce, and cod for $18. And, there's a kid-size fish fry for $9. (I think they also have perch, for an up charge.)Both bartenders were very kind and efficient, especially for having to work on a holiday. There is free street parking a block away, or underground parking for a charge.Augie's is two blocks from the Capitol Building, and has large picture windows, looking out into the neighborhood. The upscale Statehouse restaurant is adjacent, with water views, but if you are looking for something more casual, Augie's is the spot!Side note... they had Clock Shadow fried cheese curds and eight different beers, all from WI local businesses.“
“Once you stumble into this hole in the all...you may never return. There is a diamond so bright in this place. Your shoes might stick a bit to the floor but embrace the vibe. They have some awesome ambiance and sling drinks even the stiffest of barflys will live!“

“I ordered the Mahi Fish Tacos. Each order includes three tacos featuring citrus-marinated Mahi Mahi, chipotle aioli, salsa verde, and crisp nappa cabbage, all nestled in soft corn tortillas and served with a side of fries. The tacos were simply divine, bursting with freshness and flavor. The Mahi Mahi was exceptionally fresh and delicious. While The Boathouse was charming on the day of my visit, it undoubtedly shines even brighter in the summer, with its picturesque views of the lake.“

“Still one of my favorite dive bars in Wisconsin. Had a pretty good burger this time too. Got to pet a couple of good dogs and was able to enjoy a pair of reasonably priced beers. Glad to see some things have stayed awesome since I left this beautiful town.“

“This nondescript place from the outside that I had never noticed, right on E Wash, was surprisingly quiet on a Friday night. I came for some Friday night fish fry with friends before we headed to a show. Fries are nice and crispy, 2 big pieces of cod. I'm not quite sure what the seasoning for the fish fry batter is or how I feel about it, but it's worth a visit (and a break from a packed Friday night restaurant).“

“We walked in at 8:50 pm and 10 minutes left until the kitchen closed. We are from out of town and wanted fish fry after our sons basketball tournament was over. The server and bartender made sure we were fed and took our order immediately after we said we'd go somewhere else if it the cooks were ready to close. They were insistent that we stay and it was OK to stay for food. So kind and polite. Food was delicious and if we are in the area again we are definitely stopping in again.“

“Why the heck haven't I sopped by here before... this is the question you should be asking yourself. My Pop said he'd stopped for Fish Fry a few months back and said it was really good. So we were headed home - realized there wasn't anything in the fridge... thinking my Pop said the place was decent. Boy Howdy -Shazam... great burgers... I ordered mine medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Wonderful mushroom bacon Swiss burger. The fries were nice and crisp... companion had the BLT with a fried egg... no complaints :) Old fashioneds were generous and only $6.50! Overall really reasonable prices and fantastic service. The folks working were genuinely inquisitive about how are drinks and meal was. We will be back... you should give this joint a shot.“
