Auttarote Thai Cuisine (Aut-Ta-Rote)

First time going there after receiving a glowing recommendation and it did not disappoint. The staff is amazing and the food was best thai food I have had in a while! The decor is always wild (in a good way). 10/10 would recommend and I am going to be returning to try new dishes.

Amazing Thai food. We had basil chicken+rice and I had Tom Yum and fried tofu. It got really chilly on our walk and we decided to come by this place to eat. The lady was so accommodating and explained the menu/food we wanted! Sweet surprise to be here and enjoy their food! It felt like we were in Thailand!

I saw this place on TikTok and suggested it for our Dinner Club, and I have to say, the space itself is beautiful, very vibrant, and has a great ambiance. The service was also excellent; the staff were attentive and friendly.

That said, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. My friends and I ordered a mix of appetizers and entrées to try. I had the Thai Iced Tea, which looked great but was much too sweet for my liking. The Chicken Satay came next, I was expecting a generous serving, but it was actually a very small portion. The chicken had some flavour but was quite dry.

My Pad Thai came in a large portion (which was nice), but the flavour was a bit underwhelming. We also tried the Flower Dumplings since they looked so pretty online and in person, but they were hard and the texture felt off. The shell-to-filling ratio was uneven, with the shell being too thick. Maybe they would’ve been better warm, but still not something I’d order again.

Overall, the restaurant is gorgeous and the service was excellent, but the food was a bit inconsistent, definitely a hit or miss experience.

Beautiful place, great visual atmosphere. Food was great, but service for drink order, delivery, food order and delivery was very slow; except water delivery- very frequent. It was busy, not crazy with one large table Celebrating a birthday. I really enjoyed myself over all.

What a hidden gem - This was hands down amazing. The service was perfect, the food was do die for - Amazing portion sizes. Would recommend ordering a few times and doing family style ( Sharing all the plates ). Their signature appy was so good! Will be back 100%

What can I say - this was probably one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. This pace is definitely a hidden gem in Calgary.

The vegetarian options (so many) are amazing! And the mongo sticky rice is a must get.

Oh, that used to be one of my absolute favorite Thai spots in Calgary! The food always looked so good for Instagram, and the people were super nice and friendly. But, you know, the flavor has shifted a bit lately, and I’m not sure what’s going on. I might give it another shot, but I’ll probably be a little more cautious this time around.

What a wonderful experience we had here! Service, food and atmosphere were really all top!!! Such friendly welcome, smiling servers, kept making sure we have everything we need and that we liked the food; they were knowledgeable about the menu as well. The presentation of the food was so good that we almost didn't care about the tast but then we tasted it and it met the eyes' expection! So good!!! We really enjoyed the soup we started with, then we had the Papaya Salad and it was so good. Green Curry, Tiger (sth sth) dish, rice, pad Thai.. everything was delicious!!! Looking forward to going back! I also really loved their setup: furniture, decorations, the dishes the food was served in, the glasses and plates we ate in....everything added to our beautiful experience!
