Great spot for pub quality fish and chips. I personally recommend getting a kid sized chips with a full fish portion. The chips were great but the fish to fry ratio is better with a kids portion of chips.Quality to price ratio for fish and chips this is probably the best bang for your buck.Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly options

I came in about an hour before close on a weekday. Staff were really kind and efficient. I had the cod and chips, which was delicious and filling. It’s a little expensive, but what isn’t nowadays? It’s worth it for how much food you get.The atmosphere is cozy and unassuming, and only around ten tables of varying sizes.Gluten free is available for an added cost. The same fryer is used for fish and pork.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is available for an added cost. Fish is fried in the same oil as pork sausage.Parking: It’s in a shopping complex, so parking is free. But there are many other restaurants, so the parking lot can fill up.

Showed up today at 145, to get myself and granddaughter some fish and chips to go.The doors were already locked. Door said they were open until 2pm.There was someone there, but they never came to the door, just ignored us.Very unfortunate. This was the Calgary branch

They don't cater to vegetarians like they say. Everything is cooked in same oil.Vegetarian options: They don't have vegetarian options. We had a vegetarian in our group and there wasn't any options. Everything is cooked in the same oil. They don't host vegetarians. Should not have this at all.

The haddock and fries are really good. The tartar sauce is awesome too. The prices are on the higher side.Everything else on the menu is a bit bland.

The storefront is a bit drafty this time of year so I am not giving full marks for atmosphere but the food is delicious. They use hand cut, organic potatoes for their fries and cook them to perfection. The fish is glorious. Not soggy, not overly battered and very fresh and tasty. Our waitress was lovely and charming. I would definitely go back. Dine in is better than take out logistically because otherwise the fries are soggy by the time you get home.

Heard a few good things about this place and been wanting to check it out for quite a while now because Calgary cannot do fish and chips very well, it's always overly battered fish and greasy fries. The British Chippy didn't disappoint. Their chips are cut thick, crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside. The fish is nicely battered, not overwhelmingly and you get your fill. It's a little on the pricey side at around $20 for a piece of cod and a few pennies more for haddock and nowhere near as good (or cost efficient) as what's offered in Blighty but it's the best Calgary has and that's certainly a winner in my book.
