I enjoy going to Roti Hut for all my Caribbean foods and delicacies; it's absolutely delicious, appetizing and I know nutritious. I love their fried bakes and hot pepper sauce.
I’m being generous here. If you weren’t born and raised in the Caribbean this restaurant will be great for you. I got there at 11 am and the cashier was in no way friendly. The oxtail was ok but something in my food was frozen and reheated. The broccoli ? The rice? All of it? I could taste the fridge in my food. The fried dumpling / bakes tasted like freezer too. Pholourie dried out. This food experience was a real disappointment for me. But hey the cashier said thank you...
August 16, 2023. I (a trini) tried the chicken roti aloo (alu) pie and the doubles. The chicken roti was very nice considering this isn't Trinidad and Tobago. The chicken was properly curried. The roti skin was so soft. Bess by even trini standards. The aloo pie was hot and crispy. The doubles was ok. Bara was decent. Channa well was ok. The price so much cheaper than the other places in Calgary. It pushed me to say 5 stars. Good bang for your buck
