I honestly don’t get the hype. Every time I have visited this cafe I am never greeted. Staff is not friendly. The coffee beverages are very expensive with mediocre taste and too strong.

Great little coffee shop, typical food fare as expected from a shop like this, last visit the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed even though it wasn’t overly busy but they got the job done with always a smile. Would recommend and will be back.

My business partner and I made a quick stop in Claresholm for a client meeting, and we were absolutely delighted by the food, coffee, atmosphere and exceptional service at Blackwood Coffee. The soup, pastries and coffee were delicious and very high quality! The place was very cozy and clean and the staff was so friendly. We met and had a wonderful chat with the owner of the establishment. He shared his thoughts and valuable insights about how to run a successful business, and the proof is in the pudding. Big thanks to the team at Blackwood for the memorable experience. I will certainly be back again!

I was in Claresholm for the day so dropped into Blackwoods for a coffee. I have been to the one in Fort Macleod and it rates 5/5.I was disappointed in the Claresholm location. The girl at the counter was quite rude. There were 3 ladies all speaking a foreign language and I had to wait until one of them got up from a table. I originally thought they were customers but they were the staff or the one lady was. There was no one else in the place. When I ordered a regular cup of coffee she said "we don't have coffee only Americano because the boss said no one wants it and it gets wasted. She pulled out a huge to go cup (I had planned on staying and having a square to go with it but she did not ask to go or stay) I could not imagine drinking an Americano of that size. I asked if there was anything smaller. "No" she said. I don't much care for Americano so just left. I felt like I was an imposition as she appeared to be only too anxious to get back to her conversation at the table she had been sitting at. A very disappointing visit after visiting the Fort Macleod location. Some advice to the owner(s). Your staff is going to be hard on your business. I can't comment on the quality of the coffee as she said they don't serve "just coffee." I can't comment on the food because the staff was only too happy to get away as fast as she could to continue her conversation at a table without asking or giving me a chance to even order.

Americano tasted burnt and was so hot I couldn’t drink for 10 mins; and then it tasted like dirty water. They offer 16oz and 20oz only; a great Americano has never existed in cup that big!Cool space, but that’s about it. And the irony of the writing on the cup was that the two staff weren’t even remotely happy. All in all, I’ll skip this place in the future.

Staff are always happy and cheerful when we go in! Really good selection of beverages, and when you're unsure their friendly staff is always willing to make a suggestion! Recently had the Carmal Pumpkin Pie Latte and it was delicious! Favorite place to stop in Claresholm! And the personalized message on the cup brighten your day!

This place is super cute, a great alternative to big corporate places you would typically think to stop at when driving through Claresholm. Their Greek chicken wrap was delicious and substantial. Cappuccinos were pretty good. Would stop by again.

Over priced to be perfectly honest. Mid tier coffee and baked goods. I'd be happy to purchase their products for maybe 2 bucks less across the board. The coffee just isn't worth 6 bucks

Had a truly great experience at this wonderful establishment today. Us hungry motor-bikers (my wife and I) shared a large bowl of soup, croissant, and dessert and all the food was fresh and spectacular. The owner is friendly and hospitable. We recommend this place, highly.

Always treated on a personal level. I love the little notes they write on my cup of coffee.
