My husband and I had Breakfast this am at Denny'sRestaurant on Debarr Road, Anchorage, Ak, We could not believe the Quality of the Food was So Bad, We both had the Ultimate Omelette, I had a Crepe, My husband had Fruit on the side, the Omelettes were actually Cold, the Omelette tasted like it had been cooked earlier and reheated but the inside items wereCold and they tasted bitter, not good, My husband said the Fruit was not good as well, the Crepe I must say was good, Our Waitress, Erica was Very Good & She gave us Very Good Service, but she seemed a bit shaken after a Customer Went off on the Working Staff, the Customer was complaining very loudly,Denny's is back to Charging Regular Prices but they would not honor the AARP discounts, I feel that $30.00 was too much to pay for Two Bad OmelettesWith No bread or Potatoes.
I came here yesterday as it has been a few years since I last ate at a Denny's. This location is the last surviving one in town with the midtown and Dimond locations closing down as the years went by. They are located at the corner of Debarr and Bragaw across from Costco and in front of the Lazy Dog Antiques store. The restaurant has reopened recently with limited capacity dine-in and takeout or delivery available. They have constructed a new drive-thru similar to fast food restaurants where you can place your order at a standing display of the menu with designated parking spots to wait for curbside pickup. This approach will be more beneficial if you place your order via phone or online at dennysalaska.com before coming down to pick up your food. This will minimize the wait time to just a few minutes when you drive up to the side of the entrance. I ordered the Superbird (sliced turkey breast with Swiss cheese, bacon, and tomato on sourdough bread) with a cup of Vegetable Beef soup. I called about 20 minutes prior to my arrival and only waited for 5 minutes when it came time to come down. Despite the drive-thru, Denny's is still made-to-order unlike McDonald's or Taco Bell which means a longer wait time if you didn't call ahead. I was grateful for this approach as the food was hot and fresh as they had just finished the order when I drove up. It is worth noting that dennys.com is not connected to this place, only the locations down in the lower 48. Be sure to type in dennysalaska.com when you place an online order.
Was hungry and had not been to a Denny's in a while now I know why. Service is lousy. Was seated and waited for 15 minutes and no server. Three other tables the walked in after were getting service. Guess I know why I quit going there in the first place. Would not recommend even on a bad bet.
Would give 0 but unable. We got there. Got seated but no drinks, food orders, NOTHING. The customers who came in after us were waited on before us.
All the employees are doing a great job and keeping Denny's restaurant clean. Sincerely, Jerry galang
The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Service was good. Food took much longer than expected with the number of patrons dining in. Food tasted okay, but looked a little sad on plate. Not too expensive.
Server was great, Sandwich was hot, but hashbrowns were warm, overall good dining experience, thankful for the cleanliness of the dining area and the bathroom!.
Best food, cleaner kitchen, food is fast and better
This Denny's was amazing...our waitress was great...the food was beyond what we thought it was going to be...we have eaten at other Denny's before and this one beat then all by far...would definitely return and recommend to others...
Good food kinda slow serving the food still goos food
Food was great, service was getting used to all the new service guidelines, but were working it out.
Was told by person at front that we came at good time. Was seated, then went downhill from there. Food barely warm, hair in quisadea, & no follow up with soda refill after requesting. Capacity about 1/4 full & waitress stated "kinda got hectic." If that is hectic, I would hate to see busy.
The service is very friendly and efficient, but depending on the time of day it seems that the food is better than others, more than likely the morning cook isn't as good at his craft as the other cook, or maybe they don't take as much pride in their work because I noticed that my pancakes are much fluffier and better presentation than when my son and I come in before noon.
