I have never felt the need to write a negative review for a restaurant until today. We waited over 30 minutes for a half a sandwich and soup and the soup was ice cold.

We had the best breakfast sandwiches. They let us do half and half meats and the bread choices were so good. $16 for a loaded sandwich, Alaska Chip Co. chips, and a drink. The person at the counter was very helpful with my questions. The atmosphere was very chill. Great place for a coffee and a book or studying. They also do bread samples!Dietary restrictions: They have a separate section of gluten free breads!Kid-friendliness: Kids would be fine. It’s a coffee shop vibe so as long as they are good to not scream, they’ll be just fine.

Stopped by to pick up an Uber eats order and decided to order a sandwich since the atmosphere was appetizing on its own. I asked my friendly staff member (sorry I didn’t get a name) for a sunrise sandwich and surprise me with meats and toppings. Boy oh boy did he surprise me . Read was warm and generous slices at that, not dry , steaming with flavor . Thank you , my fiancé is still talking about the sandwich . Thank you !!!

When youre in alaska and want pizza, you say mooses tooth. When i think sandwichs and bread i like-wise think house of bread. You guys are killing it. 2nd to none. Im rarely this impressed but you guys give me the best every time and i can only give high praise to your efforts.

Delicious varieties of fresh breads, pastries, and cookies. They also serve homemade soups and sandwiches; some very tasty combinations. There is a full service coffee and tea bar, a long with cold bottled drinks. Cozy seating area for in house eating. Always friendly service.

I always want to love this place but I just don't. My husband feels that my lower 48 food expectations get in the way but it shouldn't be hard for a bakery/soup/sandwich place to make an incredibly tasty sandwich. For starters the sandwich choices are very limited. It's mainly cold sandwiches with bland toppings. It would be beneficial for them to have more sauce options (like savory sauces, maybe a chipotle sauce). Basically it's mayo and mustard from what I see and they don't add much to the sandwich. I'm sorry y'all I'm picky about sandwiches. The sourdough bread is just ok. I'd love to see more hot sandwich options like paninis with maybe an herb mayo or something to that effect. Service was decent. The price point is not bad with the amount of sandwich you get at $12 bucks for a whole sandwich. Goodness someone please season these sandwiches and add some sauce! Ok ok I'll get off my soap box now. Maybe just maybe they will incorporate some of these suggestions. Ambiance is cute but again it's cold in there and they have a fireplace that's not even lit. Also it's the holidays and I love that y'all decorated some but can y'all play a little music for Pete's sake?! Now I'm done.

Got a bunch of different sandwiches, all on the jalapeño cheese bread. Alaskan fusion Panini was my favorite! The bread was soft and chewy, and they had so many different flavor options! Was very impressed with the Christmas bread designs! So cute!

$17 for a quarter sandwich and soup that tasted like it was from a can. Also waited 20 minutes for my order with a nearly empty restaurant. Been coming here for years but I can't support them anymore.

Nice place, great food. Could benefit from good business counsel. Regardless, still a great place; I hope the best for them, and recommend a visit.

This is an old fashioned Midwest style bakery, nothing too fancy or Euro here. Get a delicious and soft cinnamon roll, good coffee and sit a while. If you’re wanting high end, this isn’t it. Just good basic baked goods just the way you’d expect them. Service was friendly but not efficient. Relax and pretend you’re in Minnesota.

This last experience was so poor that it deserves a very bad rating. Wife went into the store at lunch and ordered a sandwich, was told it would be about five minutes. Place wasn't too busy, but I know there were online orders coming in. After more than 20 minutes, it was ready to pick up. She asked about the chips that come with the sandwich, posted on the menu board, something we've had in the past. Employee told her chips were extra. When she mentioned they were included on the menu, employee told her no they weren't. To add insult to injury, her turkey cranberry sandwich was missing the cranberries and had a seriously anemic tomato slice. This is the type of place that should hold to very high standards, and this was an epic fail.
