Looks like a local place, not fancy, in a non-descript part of town. Server seemed a little brusque/tired, but when we explained what we were wanting (ie a combination of foods to try), he pointed us to the meat-laden combo plate, and it was spot on. After much debate, we tried the Tongan Special Plate (Kalua pig, turkey tail, beef steamed in spinach, and 2-scoops of white rice) and the saimin. The proprietor sensed our excitement for trying new dishes and she brought us a sample of teriyaki chicken and beef, too. Happy to find a Hawaiian food place in Anchorage. I ordered the mini plate combo and believe me if you think the mini won't satisfy you, you are mistaken. They load you up with food. I think my mini could've easily satisfied two people. For my choices I went with chicken and Kahlua pig. They gave me three good sizes of chicken! And a nice helping of the pig.
