I ordered from DoorDash this place for the first time, $20 worth of food not including all of the fee from DD it was up to $35 and the food looks like a toy to me, and not even that good. Waste of money never eat at this place again.

Ordered and got 80 dollars of food and the “fresh roll” is a piece of romaine lettuce a shrimp and a chicken. I asked for extra chicken and veggies in the curry but didnt get either as well as spicy sauce on the side. The pad thai had 2 pieces of shrimp and was oily and disgusting. I called to complain and the manager told me what was in my food and said they could redo it. Save your money eat somewhere else.

Ordered takeout. The khao soi was amazing. Got it with beef (three 2”Cube pieces of beef) and extra veggies. Very good curry and coconut soup flavor and came with a small cup of noodles on the side and lots of fried noodles to top it with. Papaya salad (som tom thai) was very good too.

The food was amazing. This is our favorite thai place to dine in or even order online. If you want something with rice I would recommend Thai Basil. And if you’d like a noodle dish, I would recommend the boat noodle. Thank you for having us So Thai!

Pros- panang curry uses fresh peanuts, instead of using a premade paste- rice is fluffy and soft Cons- curry us WAY too sweet and creamy. it's so sweet that it's close to inedible. not authentic at all. caters to american palates, but even then... too sweet. i had to throw the curries out- not spicy at all, even if you request spicy- meat quality is mediocre with a very strange after taste. maybe it's starting to spoil. it's almost as if they're trying to cover it up with the intense sweetness. beware the porkConclusion - i've been searching for authentic thai in anchorage (less cream, more flavor, uses mortar & pestle). i haven't found it yet. the search continues

I’ve eaten here about ten times, I’d say. The best! It’s real food cooked from scratch with fresh aromatic vegetables, spices and herbs. The ingredients are great and the cooks know what they’re doing. Yum. I dunno where the bad reviews are coming from. The food is outstanding.

We've been customers for years but unfortunately the quality of food and the price per entree recently has been unsatisfactory in the last few visits. Tonight we ordered fresh rolls, pad thai, pad ziew, and massaman curry. The food was terribly bland and had no flavor. The amount of food and its quality was not worth almost $20/entree. The fresh rolls were dry and I thought they used to come with noodles inside, but maybe not. They should though! Overall, I'm not sure if the cook has changed or if it's under different ownership, but the food is sadly very disappointing. We will have to give So Thai a break for a while.

My wife (she is Thai) and I come to So Thai as often as we can. Having lived in Thailand for 20 years I can say they come as close as it gets for Thai Street food.Khao Soi has been my favorite Thai dish since being introduced to the dish in Chang Mai, Thailand by my wife’s extended family. “So Thai” is spot on to the original flavor I seek!We have eaten at other Thai Restaurants in Anchorage and when we ask the Thai or Lao waitresses where they eat, they say they go to a”So Thai”, so do we!

Amazing flavor. Ordered panang curry and drunken noodles. Curry wqs full of flavor and not watery like the "other Thai place" that I ordered from a couple times. It had plenty of protein in it and not just full of bamboo shoots. The noodles were flavorful and plenty. Will order Thai food from here only from now on.

While I haven't eaten in the restaurant yet, I get takeout from here once in a while. It is amazing. The chicken panang is incredible. Mild still has a decent amount of spiciness (for me at least) and has incredible flavor. The spring rolls are also really good. Super crunchy. I definitely plan to dine in soon so I can speak to the service and atmosphere. From the other reviews I've read, I don't think I'll be disappointed!

Food was good. I got papaya salad and pork larb. My favorite 2 dishes. The larb was good the papaya salad was just ok. I live in Thailand, so I'm pretty well versed in good Thai food. The papaya salad was missing something, I'm not sure what though.

We placed an order at 5:15 or 5:30 and were told it would be about 45-50 minutes. we got there to pick it up at 6:30 and they said it would be another 30 minutes. 30 minutes later I came back and they said they are just starting it and it would be 20-30 minutes. I came back at 7:30 and they had still not started it, telling me that I already picked the order up. At 7:45 they finally came out with our order. I understand that things happen but I felt like my time was extremely disrespected by the way things were communicated. I have not even tried the food yet but know I won’t be coming back.
