I haven't been to The Bubbly Mermaid since pre-COVID, but I felt compelled to write a review now. The pandemic has been hard on so many businesses, I commend any that are doing what they need to in order to keep their staff and customers safe. Each time that I've visited the Bubbly Mermaid, the oysters have been fresh and delicious, and they have the most expansive selection of bubbles I've ever seen. This place has an unbeatable atmosphere, excellent champagne selection, and very tasty oysters (both baked and raw)! Prices are quite high, but what you would expect from an oyster/champagne bar with very limited seating. Be prepared to rub shoulders with your neighbor whether you know them or not in this quaint, unique Anchorage staple. Arrive early for best seating and help from the knowledgeable owner.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Apollo! This is certainly not your average “night out”. Much more of a beautifully educational pairing of two delicious delicacies! Would recommend to anyone!
