Reminds me of little restaurants back when I was a kid.. and that Halibut sandwich was absolutely perfect. The staff was super friendly. I will eat here every single trip.

What a great place, super cute and the people who work there are so genuine, friendly, easy to talk to. That reindeer sausage was tasty, and looking forward to trying their chicken fried steak and gravy next time. A classic greasy spoon with a comfortable, adorable, classic interior.

John's team have kept up all the great parts about this great little diner, couple new items that are bomb. Had the chicken fried steak platter today. Burgers great, cod and halibut platters great, and excellent diner classic breakfast plates. I'm a 30-year regular, so have my preferences all around on these points.

We stopped by right before closing and they didn’t mention it at all. We’d eaten not long before and weren’t too hungry but really wanted to try their highly rated halibut sandwich while in town. My wife & I split one of these large sandos with a side of their homemade coleslaw, plus a slice of blueberry pie ala mode, and everything was damn good. Not a fancy interior but very tasty & satisfying food served by good folks.

Didn't pass the test.If you claim to be a cook but can't make a poached egg, you're not a cook.

It's a quaint diner. Halibut dishes were one of the best in Anchorage. Funny that the menu "warns" you not to ask questions. My friends told me that if you start asking questions, they get mean! Our server was perfectly friendly, but just go with halibut, and you'll be amazed!

There flavor is still the same as it was ten years ago, by far the best hole in the wall burger joint I've been to. There service is excellent and the atmosphere, music is good as well. Best burger I've had in Anchorage.
