The food was so delicious and the hot sauce was actually a little spicy! I got a bowl and I will definitely be returning as the prices are good and food is amazing. Atmosphere was not intimate or classy, but loud dives are what seem to hold all the best foods in Fairbanks.

We read good reviews about this place and it really was excellent. We were visiting from Georgia and wanted to try Mediterranean food in Fairbanks. What better place than what it's famous for?! Aurora! It's a simple looking place, we think more for take out than dine in. We dined in. The owner greeted us with a smile and answered our questions with patience. We ordered chicken shawarma and steak kabob with fries and lentil soup. Every item was absolutely delicious! ??? Owner came to ask us how everything was. Once we were done we asked him where to put our dirty dishes. He just waved at us and said don't worry. That was very sweet. Thank you for your hospitality. One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the US and the BEST Mediterranean restaurant in ALASKA. Excellent food, friendly staffs, plenty of parking and decent number of tables for seating. Food was prepared after you place the order, so it was served fresh and hot. Highly recommend to try Chicken Kabob platter/bowl, Falafel plate and Butter Chicken. If you are looking to have good Mediterranean food in FAIRBANKS, look no further than Aurora Mediterranean Restaurant.

The lady that runs the restaurant seemed to have her nose in the air when I asked about getting a white claw beer to which she said what flavor. I didn't know they had different flavors since they weren't listed on the menu. Also she was kind of indifferent when my wife had ordered a salmon dish & it was served as suci. My wife told her she wanted it cooked so it was sent back & was cooked.

Simple setting, in what may have been an Italian restaurant or pizza place based on paintings on the wall, with good food and service. The lentil soup was very good. I'd be back just for that. Had the gyro patter and enjoyed it as well. A surprise first meal on Fairbanks. If here it's worth the stop.
This is easily the best, most consistent restaurant in Fairbanks. I’ve never had a bad meal here! We just moved and it was our last dinner before we started our move. You won’t regret trying Aurora!
