Sandwiches are the best here, great ingredients and bread. The Cobb salad was disappointing, small amount of chicken. Also it’s very pricey for just one sandwich not including a side or drink.
A very relaxing establishment with a slight “homey” feel. I enjoyed all the puns that are used and the amount of product that is made in store. They have lots of merchandise for sale as soon as you come in, but it doesn’t feel cluttered. It just makes a nice path to the counter to order. As a lover of a Cubano (sandwich), this is the sandwich I chose from their menu. At least I can say I tried it. I had the turkey removed and changed the bread from honey wheat to white. I ended up removing the pickles after the first bite, as they were sour and didn’t compliment the sandwich (to my taste)- saying this someone else could love this take on a Cubano. The fresh Lemon Bar was awesome. It definitely has that homemade flavor. So, the sweets and the bread is so very much love at first bite.
Delicious bread, sandwiches, and salads! Excellent customer service. The young lady who took our lunch order was very attentive and accommodating. She offered us bread samples before we made our selection. She also suggested to try their mixed berry and cream cheese scones which were delicious. Highly recommend this bakery!
I have been enjoying Great Harvest's bread for several years now. I find myself getting a loaf of cinnamon chip sweet bread weekly while in Fairbanks. They also have great sandwiches if you are looking for a place to eat!
Got their Cobb Salad for the first time, decent size salad for the price. I was disappointed to find the avocado with the salad, is actually mashed avocado in a cup that had already started browning - probably due to the fact that the lid on the small cup wasn't all the way on. Also for the 'large' salad I didn't feel one container of salad dressing was sufficient - I pretty much didn't eat the avocado with the salad due to it being in a container and it doesn't go on like a dressing. Will try another establishment for my salad next time.
I love this place, everytime I stop by I get the Red Rooster. This place truly does it all, baked goods, amazing sandwiches and not to mention you can sample before you make a decision. This place usually has a line during regular lunch and dinner times, but this place is 100% worth the wait. I will always recommend newcomers stop by this godly establishment first.
Cobb Salad was so good! Fast service& bomb sweets ?
Won’t be back. Great bread, decent sandwiches, poor service. The manager decides to engage my cashier in a conversation about to-go orders in the middle of taking my order. NOT the cashiers fault, but sure enough, when they bring out food, a sandwich is missing. Wife, myself and two of our three children have food, daughter doesn’t get her sandwich. Food runner says sandwich didn’t make it on the ticket and “When we’re ready” we can go back to the counter to order and pay for the sandwich I already ordered?!? When we’re ready? We’re ready now, my oldest daughter is sitting there with nothing in front of her?? If you’re gonna penny pinch that much that we need to pay, after your mistake, then fine, but get back there and get her sandwich made, you don’t wait for me to get back up and go to the counter. It’s a shame too, because the bread was very good, but I’ll find someplace else to get good bread.
This place absolutely blew my mind, I can't find the words to describe how good their food is. I had the spicy signature and can not wait to try everything else on the menu. The staff is also incredibly friendly and accommodating if you have any questions.
Great bakery with so many options to choose from. We did their breakfast sandwiches. Note that a full is planet of food, I’m really hungry in the morning and I barely finished mine. The wife only ate half of hers. Also we got a rice krispy treat and monkey bread.. gotta try the bread. It was excellent as I thought it would be. The only downside was I ordered online which was a bit slow but per a Google maps update, they may have just started offering online ordering so it’s understandable. It said 15-30 minutes, I showed up at the 20 minute mark and it wasn’t ready until the 35 minute mark. But either way, not enough of an inconvenience to dock them a star, still a 5 star experience.
Food was great, high quality. Staff was over the top friendly. Would love to make it back here again before leaving Fairbanks.
Omg! Every time I go there I feel like I gain 20 pounds take that as you will lol. But anyways the food is incredible and their bread is the best in town. Staff is professional and kind. 100% go here. Great place for lunch and a cute little set up for eating with friends.
We tried this our for the first time today. Staff is very friendly and everything is clean. Food came out pretty quick. The seating is a little crammed but they did what they could. Delicious, fresh food.
Absolutely fantastic bread, soups and coffee! Everything is made fresh and with great fresh produce. The flavours come through beautifully and nothing is overly spiced or baked. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff and great assortment of bread/food related items in the shop. Definitely a great find for us when we visited Fairbanks.
