I like that they are conservative and proud but the good is mediocre at best. However when we live in a society where you can't get anyone to work I don't blame them for being understaffed and slow service.

If there was a 4.5 stars I would have. Service was great. Didn’t wait long for the food. Had the Roundhouse chicken sandwich. It was awesome, but bottle cheap on the fries. That’s the only reason it’s not a 5* rating.

Servers are slow and don’t really know the menu. Interior looks as if it hasn’t been updated since 80’s.. Food is okay! If they cook it right the first time! Over cooked my steak, asked for med rare and got well done. Chef says waiter put in wrong ticket.. salad bar is one trip. Store bought salad mix and boiled eggs sometimes cheese….Parking: First come first serve, they do not clear the lot during winter.. pretty icy, cars slide and you will too

I ordered ribeye steak on 14th and was absolutely delicious, but tonight i decided to try the prime rib. That was not what you expect it was cold and cold to the touch and i ate almost half until i took a bit and it tasted like ice cold and i immediately lost my appetite and lost everything i have eaten. If go there stay away from the prime rib the steaks is awesome

Not a great experience here for me & the wife. Ordered our food and was told the kitchen was "too busy" to make appetizers. Ordered a "Cheese Steak" sandwich, which was decent, but strangely devoid of any noticeable amount of actual cheese. Recommend this item just be renamed "Meat in a bun" for clarity's sake. Wife had ordered a mushroom swiss burger, which in its defense, did have at least 3 pieces of mushroom hiding under the melted cheese. Wait staff was great, but the person at the front taking orders seemed entirely annoyed & disgruntled by the fact people came to a restaurant and were ordering food, and visibly rolled her eyes and huffed & puffed to the customers in the line about how inconvenient the experience of taking orders was.The events held at this location, however are amazing. The painting classes / events are excellent and I can't recommend them enough, but I'd advise anyone going to them to grab a bite to eat elsewhere prior, and avoid spending 40-50 dollars for a disappointing meal.

It was a mixed bag this visit to the Roundup. The food was good. I had the fully loaded cheese steak with battered fries. The star was the waitress! Ole girl was on it! She juggled three tables, the bar and was super attentive! My only complaint was that it is too quiet in there... This was a Saturday night. Play some music!

Not sure how they can cut a steak so thin, yet still not be able to get it up to a medium rare temperature. Felt bad for the waitress, who was great, having to deal with all the loud, drunk, idiots that were there.

I ordered a cheeseburger well done with French fries. I was really hungry and wanted to enjoy a good lunch before work, but after paying $23 when the menu price stated $13.95, and then, I drove to down the road to a park to eat, I opened the Styrofoam container and the burger was dripping and the bun was soggy and falling apart, I gave it to my dog and ate some of the fries.

Went to this place, the menu item onion blossom lurd me in. No onion blossom. Ordered Southwest egg rolls. Nothing to write home about. Was supposed to come with avocado sauce. Received ranch. I don't like ranch. Seems by the other reviews around 2015 was a decent place. But then as the years went on, got worse. Should have checked before driving across town to eat here.Kim P.

I've never been Fairbanks and I'm looking for a good steak. What do I find? Nada, zilch, nothing!!! Apparently steakhouses are not in Fairbanks. This has steakhouse in the name but don't even have a pic of a steak! What gives?

Moved back to Fairbanks after 12 years and was beyond thrilled to eat here again. Read the reviews and it looked to still be amazing even with the changes. Finally ordered tonight… the cheesesteak was barely filled into the bread, which was hard as rock itself. The beer battered fries were burnt to a crisp. The cheesesteak mixture itself was still amazing as ever, but I ate it with a fork instead of the bread. The burger was overdone and dry. The steak fries were good. And they weren’t busy at all. Over all 3/5 only because of the nostalgia.Parking: Parking lot could use some work
