Food was okay, but cheesesteak was portioned for a child. Grilled red salmon basket also good for Valdez. Overall, just a bit underwhelming.

It's an okay place to eat, but the food is not the best. The first time I went there, they burnt my oatmeal. It wasn't a big deal, but burning oatmeal is hard to do, and they managed to do it. They service was great, and it didn't take long to get our food.

First visit to Valdez. Restaurant next to our friends boat and the Best Western. Fun atmosphere and great selection of food and draft beers.

After a few days of eating out in Valdez we were craving vegetables--and Fat Mermaid delivered the healthiest/lightest fare we could find in town. Drinks were strong, and the staff was personable and friendly despite us joining a large party.

This a hidden jem. The food was amazing. I had the Crabcake Benedict, it was one of the best I've ever had. Our server was VERY busy but did such a good job making sure we always had what we needed. We had to wait a bit to get in but actually were standing in line behind the owner. It was worth the wait. She was so friendly and welcoming. Love the feel of this small little town with the kindest people. We will be back

A great bar and restaurant, the bartender was exceedingly friendly and personable. I ordered the halibut sandwich which was absolutely delightful, well balanced and very refreshing. Next time I find myself in Seward, I will be sure to stop in again.

We were recommended this place for their fish and chips and it did not disappoint! We were served by the awesome Daniel who recommended we swap the codfish we ordered, for the rockfish and he was not wrong! So fresh and delicious! My husband ordered the rockfish tacos and they were so good! I ordered 2 of the Alaskan Blue Glacier cocktails, and I'm glad my husband shared the 2nd one with me, delicious and strong! I'm pretty sure we will go back here again during our 5 night stay, totally worth it ???If you can request a server, I highly recommend Daniel! Very friendly and I would listen to his advice! Great job Daniel!

You know a place has good food when the locals choose it to eat. This place was packed and the food was great. You don't come to Valdez for a Las Vegas type atmosphere so don't expect it here. You get fishing village atmosphere and it's great. My husband had the Halibut Basket which had the most fish he had ever seen and it was fresh and amazing. Perfectly cooked. I had the Veg Heaf pizza on a gluten free crust and loved it! Super creamy white sauce with tons of flavor.

We had the pepperoni pizza, and maybe it's because the cruise ship's pizza is just ok, or it could be the pizza here is really good. Had an earthquake to drink, which is oddly tropical and very beachy. We had a bit of a wait, but two big cruise ships came in to town today, so a wait was expected.

Had to wait for a table. It was a busy night. I didn't feel like having anything fried, so my choices were limited. I went with a pecan mango salad but there were not enough greens in the salad. The chicken was cut up in tiny cubes. My husband had cod & chips which was dry. Unfortunately there is not a lot of choice when it comes to restaurants in Valdez. If you are in the mood for pizza or something fried, you may like it. I saw some impressive onion ring baskets going by.
Pizza, fries, and Cesar salad were all terrific. Service was fast and friendly!! Very cute little place.

This restaurant in Valdez is a wonderful spot to enjoy some delicious local fish. It's a relief to find a place that offers some wild catch options in a city with highly limited choices. The fish I had was simply fantastic, and I appreciated the opportunity to support local fishermen. Additionally, I tried the Chaga tea and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Overall, this is a lovely place to visit if you're looking for some tasty seafood in Valdez.

Great food, amazing drinks and fun atmosphere! We had a larger party of 9, including 4 children. We all left feeling happy and looking forward to our next visit. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and never missed a beat. Despite being a full house, our food and drinks came out quick and everything was delicious!

Very busy and rainy when we showed up. We wanted a break from soggy camp cooking and got just that. We were able to nab an outdoor table under the awning. Service was good even though they were really busy. Oh, and the vegetarian Reuben was excellent! One of our party got it on a whim, not specifically for the vegetarian ingredients and we were wowed! It really hit the spot.

Both my partner and I were very pleasantly surprised by our experience here! The food was excellent (pulled pork sandwich), the beer extra cold, and the service super friendly! A large restaurant, we were seated immediately.
