I never write reviews but I had to mention how bad good karma has gotten. 5 years ago it was one of my favorite places around Auburn but now it’s extremely mediocre and over priced. The food quality has gotten much poorer.

Good Karma was good at one point, but their sharp decline in food quality over the past year leaves them being one of the worst restaurants in Auburn.I ordered with a friend, and we both got entirely different dishes: I got lamb saag over fries and she got paneer tikka masala over rice. I want to preface this by saying I am not expecting anything fancy, and never will; Good Karma has always specialized in affordable Indian food (if I was looking to spend some extra cash on higher quality Indian, I'd go to Bombay Grill instead). The saag they gave me was nothing more than a bowl of herbal saltwater. Any kind of flavor in that curry was drowned out completely by the overwhelming salinity of every bite. It was a truly awful experience. My friend's tikka masala was immediately reminiscent of jarred spaghetti sauce. It was almost as if they had just mixed Pregon and milk together, heated it up and poured it over the rice. The few positives I had with that meal were that the Lamb and Paneer were alright. Unfortunately, they had been steeped in the aforementioned curries, and had absorbed their flavors. The lamb and paneer provided brief respites in the overwhelming disappointment that was Good Karma curry.Overall, I don't think I've ever seen such a fall from grace as Good Karma's. They were once I place I frequented. Their curries were a great way to go out on a limb and try something new without having to spend upwards of $20 on a meal. Nowadays, I think the superior low-effort curry on a budget is, legitimately, Great Value frozen Tikka Masala. I'm not kidding. It's gotten that bad.By the way, I received this food for free from a gift card I won. I spent about a dollar for all of this, and I would have much rather sold that gift card to someone who could stand the food and bought something much more worth my while. Like Great Value Tikka Masala.
Parking: There is a small shared parking lot outside of the building.
Kid-friendliness: There are sticky notes and pens kids can use to draw and stick on the wall.

Nope. Whatever ‘Indian Inspired food’ means. Tea , a basic tea was inauthentic and reheated / dip . After first sip nobody in my Indian family could drink it.

That was NOT Tikka Masala. Visiting from out of town and was hoping to have a great Indian cuisine dinner and my night was ruined by this horrible taste of a dish.

Warning: they changed the recipe of Tikka Masala sauce. New one is basically blended tomatoes and not good at all. Leaves a nasty after taste. Will not be back as that's the only thing I liked. I'm sad and hungry.

I’ve had Good Karma 3 times. First two times I got Tikka Masala with chicken. This last time I got Tikka Masala with lamb and I got horrendous food poisoning. I suspect that the lamb was undercooked and improperly prepared. Their food is decent usually, I’ve had much better and more flavorful tikka masalas, but it gets the job done. I’m afraid I won’t be returning after getting the food poisoning though.

Oh my goodness, I’m so glad we tried Good Karma. I had the chicken korma with extra eggplant and it was the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be a regular customer!!

Just saw the reply. Notice they didn't reply to my comment about reheated food. Also, math must be a problem as my tip was 17%.Well, that was disappointing. We had been looking forward to trying this place and were hoping that it's better than the other Indian place in town.Alas, it was not to be. Very small, only four tables there, so most of their business is takeout.Went for lunch today. Two dishes plus an app and a good tip came to $40.The main courses had clearly been reheated. The flavoring was decidedly unsubtle. Two stars is being fair.As for the service, after delivering our food, the guy disappeared into the kitchen and we never saw him again.Guess we have to keep searching for good Indian in Auburn.
