Best closed taco place in downtown Birmingham! This store is the gold standard for what a closed taco restaurant should be. Since you can't go inside I just stood out front and stared in aww for like 20 minutes. A security officer that works the block asked me what I was doing and I just pointed to the store front. We got their burrito bowl, kids quesadilla, and tater tots. The whole operation is very similar to Chipotle (which we love) so we had high hopes for Chronic Tacos. The portions are quite large, with the bowls being noticeably larger than Chipotle, but the thing my whole family was overwhelmed by was the SALT. Really enjoyed my experience. I went after the lunch rush. There are plenty of tables to pick from from 2 to 6-7 people. The burrito I had was fantastic. A little on the spicy side but fine with me. The service was great and they hooked me up with some chips and queso on the way out.
