My girlfriend broke up with me here. Part of me wants to give this place one star simply because that experience crushed me. It's been 3 years, I still haven't recovered. Try the Asian slaw though, I would if I could make myself go back.
We came into Roots & Revelry late in the evening, maybe 90 mins or so before closing. As you get closer to closing, food & service can be hit or miss at that hour in most restaurants. To our pleasure, Desmond was our waiter, and also prepared our drinks. His service and menu insight, recommendations were allll spot on! Apps, dinner and drinks were excellent. Service is and delivery was great! Awesome time. Thanks!

Roots & Revelry is amazing! Such great drinks! My husbands shrimp and grits were amazing and I stole half of his because my beignets were really sweet (but delicious)! Our server, Allie made sure to accommodate us and was very sweet and attentive. And we even got to meet the general manager, Traci who is also fabulous. If you’re in Birmingham, definitely check this out ❤️
