After a drive back from Atlanta, the lady and I stopped by this gem tucked away in Avondale. Our servers were incredibly welcoming and gave us time to look over the menu. I got the compechano (steak and chorizo) quesadilla. The lady got the steak nachos. Some of the best Mexican food around! It’s full of flavor, and if you like an extra kick, the sauce that comes with the meal is the perfect blend of spice and smokiness. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Blandest and driest Mexican food I have ever had. They make you pay for water which is crazy to me. The music in there is loud and not a great atmosphere in general. Food was also overpriced for the quality.

Probably one of the best, if not the best, taco shop/mexican food restaurants in Birmingham. I do not say this lightly. We were just catered to our every need, on a random Monday night at 5:30pm. The service, the food, the quality of the meats! 10/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an easy and casual Mexican dinner. We were here about 3 months ago, and since then they have really stepped it up a notch. Their salsa is so smokey and delicious, along with their queso. They also have a truck on 4th Ave S that is exceptional. If you’re feeling authentic tacos, look no further than Taco Morro Loco in Avondale.Parking: Avondale is easy to park anywhere.Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids! I paid $27 plus $2 tip for 2 huaraches for lunch. I should have opened the order in the restaurant but I didn’t. Maybe I am cheap but the quality and what was given to me should have been at most $9. The tortilla was completely hard, I could not cut it with a knife. The lettuce was already wilted and the chicken I got was shredded. First time there and the last time I will go there. The employees were nice, that’s the good part.

This place was astonishingly amazing. Too marks on food and service. The price was not so bad either. They guys there seemed to be genuinely concerned with getting our order correct and out quickly. Wish they had this in Monroe, LA, we’ll be back every time we’re in B’Ham visiting. Highest rating!

We stopped at Taco Morro while in town for a conference. The food, drinks and service were absolutely phenomenal. I went with the prickly pear margarita. It was the best I've had. The guacamole and salsa were to die for. My coworker and I shared chicken enchiladas and they were fresh and authentic. We were both wishing we could bottle up the restaurant and take it with us back home!

Food was delicious. Fish taco was raw, no problem. I understand it happens. But, I requested just to take it off my bill instead of send it back. My server literally asked me if I already bit it and swallowed the food, obviously that’s how I discovered the food was raw. She tried to tell me that bc I ate a bite that she can’t comp it. Honestly was ridiculous. After going back and forth for a few mins, I had to convince her (she wasn’t even the manager) that the food was raw. She even inspected it closely to make sure I wasn’t lying. Very awkward and weird.
